Answer: Middle: mild climates, farming, slaves(some), fertile soil. Jobs: Fishers, Small scale farmers, Shop owners, Entrepreneurs,Skilled Artisans also Shipbuilder their was an abundance of trees so lumber was easily cut and moved to the coast where ships could be build for English companies.

Although this theory used to be questioned by many and people who spread it were even prosecuted, nowadays most people accept it as a fact.
