Danny charges $35 for three hours of swimming lessons mart charges $24 for two hours of swimming lessons who offers a better deal

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Matt offers the better deal. He is exactly $1 dollar cheaper then Danny. In other to find this out i had to find what Matt charged per hour, so i took 24 divide 2 and got 12. So i learned that he charges 12 an hour. Then i added 12 to 24 to make 3 hours of lessons to match what Danny offers. It was $34 which makes it Matt's deal cheaper by $1.
Answer 2
Answer: Danny. Danny offers lessons for about $11/hr while mart charges $12

Whats the slope of a line if its plotted (0,0) and (3,6), find the y-intercept of the line. Write an equation for the line using your answers. Find one more point that lies on the line. Explain why that point is also a solution to the function. (Please explain your answers so I could understand it more) thanks guys!

Answers

To find the slope you do the method
Y2-Y1
--------
X2-X1
So you do 6-0=6 and 3-0=3. That would be 6/3 and then, you simplify it. Your slope is 2.
To find the y-intercept you have to do the point slope form, then, you do the slope intercept form
Y-Y1=m(x-x1)
You do y-6=2(x-3)
Y-6=2x+(-6)
You add six to both sides
The equation is y=2x
The y-intercept is -6
One more point on the line would be (4,8). Because if you look at the slope it is 2/1. When plotting a point you look at the slope as rise over run. The two is the rise and the 1 is the run. So you go to (3,6) and add 1 to the 3. Then, you add 2 to the 6 to get (4,8). That's why that point is a solution to the function. You could also do (2,4) if you did the opposite and subtracted the 2 and 1 to make the bottom half of the line.

very simple.

so slope=rise/run so  if we plot the points and find how high and how long it went we see that the slope=6/3=2
slope=2

since the line goes through the origin (0,0) the y-intercept=(0,0)
and the equation is
y=mx+b
m=slope
b=how much away from the origin whic is not applicable in this problem. so
y=2x

A laptop selling for 726.00 in on sale for 30% off. What is the sale price

Answers

The sale price after discount is $508.20

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Original price of laptop = 726.00

Discount = 30%

Amount of discount = 30% of original price

Amount\ of\ discount=(30)/(100)*726.00\nAmount\ of\ discount=(21780)/(100)\nAmount\ of\ discount=217.80

Sale price = Original price - Amount of discount

Sale price = 726.00-217.80\n

Sale price = $508.20

The sale price after discount is $508.20

Find the slope of the following line:
y=2/3x +4

Answers

y = 2/3*x + 4We knowy = mx+ c, m = gradientTherefore, x = 2/3In these questions, the "coefficient" (or multiplier) of x is equal to the gradient.
Slope-intercept form is

y = mx + b

where,
m is the slope
b is the y-intercept

So for the line:
y = 2/3x + 4

2/3 is the slope
4 is the y-intercept

The slope of y = 2/3x + 4 is 2/3

Ted's company has received an order to print 10^6 pages. Ted's company has 100 machines, each of which can print 10^4 pages a day.Ted’s company can print  the 10^6 pages in how many days.In exponent form, this number of days can be represented as what.

Answers

It took 1 day for the teds company to print the 10⁶ pages, as per the given conditions.

What are equation models?

The equation model is defined as the model of the given situation in the form of an equation using variables and constants.

here,
Ted's company has received an order to print 10⁶ pages.

Ted's company has 100 machines,
Total pages can be printed by machines in one day,
= 100 ×10⁴
= 10⁶

Now,
Number of days to print 10⁶ pages,
= 10⁶ / 10⁶ = 1 day

Thus, it took 1 day for the teds company to print the 10⁶ pages, as per the given conditions.

A cone and cylinder have the same height and the same base radius. If the volume of the cylinder is 81 cm^3 what is the volume of the cone in cm^3?A) 9
B) 27
C) 78
D)243

Answers

Answer:

The volume of the cone is 27cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that formulas

Volume of cylinder is

V_1=\pi r^2 h

Volume of cone is

V_2=(1)/(3)\pi r^2 h

we are given

A cone and cylinder have the same height and the same base radius

So, both will have same radius and height

now, we can find ratios

(V_2)/(V_1)=((1)/(3)\pi r^2h )/(\pi r^2h)

now, we can simplify it

(V_2)/(V_1)=(1)/(3)

we are given

the volume of the cylinder is 81 cm^3

so, V_1=81

now, we can plug it and solve for V2

(V_2)/(81)=(1)/(3)

81* (V_2)/(81)=81*(1)/(3)

V_2=27

So, the volume of the cone is 27cm^3
