6/8 plus 2/8 would equal 8/8 so it would reduce to 1 so your answer would be 2/8
As a short answer you could put it as
2 -- 8
A recipe for pudding call for 2 1\2 of milk. the recipe make 5 servings . how many cups of milk are needed to make 8 servings
Answers
8 servings* (2 1/2 cups of milk/ 5 servings)= 4 cups of milk.
The final answer is 4 cups of milk.
Hope this helps~
I think the amount of cups needed are 16.8 because if you set up the problem (but simplify the fraction into a decimal first) you set it up as 10.5/5=x/8 then you cross multiply 10.5*8(times) and get 84, last you divide by 8 and you get 16.8. I don't know what that is as a mixed number but I'm sure you can figure it out.

Determine whether the following statement is always, sometimes, never true. Justify your reasoning. If the scale factor of a scale drawing is greater than one, the scale drawing is larger than the actual object.
Answers
The statement 'If the scale factor of a scale drawing is greater than one, the scale drawing is larger than the actual object.' is always true. If the scale factor of scale drawing is larger than one, the dimensions of the drawing are multiplied by that number. The only way that it would not be larger would either be if the scale factor is not larger than one or if the dimensions of the drawing are negative. However, since the dimensions of a drawing cannot be negative and the scale factor will be greater than one (in this example) the statement is always true.
