(25 points) What is the purpose of this paragraph from a speech about solar energy? The idea of harnessing the power of the sun is not a new one. As far back as the 1700s, a Swiss physicist named Horace-Bénédict de Saussure created the first solar oven. More recently, solar panel use steadily grew in the 1970s and 1980s in cars and homes around the world. However, the use of solar panels appears to have lessened over the past few decades. This trend is unfortunate because this energy source has extraordinary benefits. Solar energy is renewable, sustainable, reliable, and cost-efficient. Shouldn't we all consider investing in this valuable natural resource?A. to inform the audience about the history and origin of solar powerB. to persuade the audience to start using solar power more frequentlyC. to convince the audience that solar power is the most profitable form of energyD. to instruct the audience about how to use solar power efficiently

Differences in beverages can be slight or significant. Soft drinks, generally, are very high in sugar and sodium content, providing a great deal of flavor. Drinks such as water and energy drinks are much lower in sodium and sugar, thereby providing better hydration. Milk and juice both have high sugar content, but milk is also a good source of protein. What is the comparison inherent in the passage?A) Sodas are not as good for you to drink as water and energy drinks.
B) Soda is as healthy a drink as milk.
