radiometric dating of rocks
fossil evidence
comparative anatomy
molecular clocks
gradual processes of rock formation

Answers

Answer;

  • radiometric dating of rocks
  • fossil evidence
  • gradual processes of rock

Explanation;

Radiometric dating confirms that Earth is ancient and explains how extremely slow processes can result in major changes to Earth’s surface. Evidence from radiometric dating indicates that Earth is about 4.54 billion years old. The geology or deep time of Earth's past has been organized into various units according to events which took place.

-The ages of Earth, Moon, and meteorites, radiometric dating has been used to determine ages of fossils, including early man, timing of glaciations, ages of mineral deposits, recurrence rates of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, the history of reversals of Earth's magnetic field, and the age and duration of a wide variety of other geological events and processes.

Which of the following plant-cell organelle supports and maintains the cell's shape and protects the cell from damage? A. cell membrane B. cell wall C. chloroplast. D. vacuole

Answers

Answer;

-Cell wall

Explanation;

-The cell wall is thick and fibrous and provides a barrier between the cell and its external environment.

-The plant cell wall is composed of cellulose. Cellulose is a structural carbohydrate and is considered a complex sugar because it is used in both protection and structure. The plant cell wall consists of three layers. Each layer has its own unique structure and function.

-A major role of the cell wall is to form a framework for the cell to prevent over expansion. Cellulose fibers, structural proteins, and other polysaccharides help to maintain the shape and form of the cell. Additional functions of the cell wall include: Support: The cell wall provides mechanical strength and support.

Cell wall supports and maintains the cell's shape and protects the cell from damage (option B)'

What is Cell wall?

The plant cell is protected by a layer called the cell wall, which encloses the cell membrane. This rigid structure, composed of cellulose offers both support and safeguarding functions, for the cell. Additionally the cell wall plays a role, in preserving the cells shape and preventing it from rupturing when exposed to pressure.

The cell membrane on the hand forms an outer layer encompassing every type of cell.

Doctors do not administer vaccinations to people who are too sick. Which best explains why? A. The weakened or dead form of the pathogen may not have any effect on sick people. B. The weakened or dead form of the pathogen may have a fatal effect when it is combined with medication that the sick people are taking. C. The digestive systems of sick people may be negatively affected by the weakened or dead pathogen. D. The white blood cells of sick people may not be able to efficiently handle the weakened or dead form of the pathogen.

Answers

The Correct answer is option D

When a person is sick then it means that its immune system is already weak and the white blood cells of sick people do not work efficiently.

In this case if the body is administered with vaccination then there are chances that the person might die or become adversely sick.

Vaccination is given to evoke immune response by the help of White blood cells and if it is already not working efficiently then the vaccine can make the make person more ill.

D. If you give someone a vaccine while they are sick the body might not be able to handle both "infections"

What amino acid is carried by tRNA with anticodon, GUA?

Answers

Hi There! :)

What amino acid is carried by tRNA with anticodon, GUA?

The mRNA sequence that you have shown above has been given in triplets of bases. These triplets are called codons. Therefore the amino acid that tRNA will bring must be complementary to this hence called the anticodon. There is a rule. A always pairs with U (or T if it was a DNA strand) and C always pairs with G.

For the first two triplets I will do the anticodon sequence then you can finish off : GUA GCC .....

Each codon or anticodon triplet codes for an amino acid. To find this out published tables are used. All the possible triplets will be on there. You will simply just have to read off the names of the amino acid stated next to it in that grid table.
