This question was on the most recent SAT Mathematics Level 2 test. If two spheres with unequal diameters intersect, what could be the intersection?a. a point b. a circle c. a sphere d. a point or a sphere e. a circle or a sphere
99 points. Please provide a detailed and explanative answer.

Answer 1
Answer:
It could be a point or a circle.
If the two spheres are tangent, then the intersection is by definition a point.
Since the two spheres are of unequal diameter, their intersection can't be a sphere (that can only happen if the spheres are of the same diameter and at the same point, then they overlap everywhere).
Now what happens if the two spheres are drawn close to each other a random way ? Well, they will intersect along a circle [see the image attached].

How many multiples of 9 are there between 100 and 2,000?
Answers
first of all, find the first number more than 100 that can divided by 9, and it's 108 (we'll call it as 'a') then, find the number less than 2000 that can divided by 9, it's 1.998 (we'll call it as 'Un')
Un = a + (n-1).b 1998 = 108 + (n-1).9 1998 = 108 + 9n -9 1899 = 9n 211 = n
and the total is Sn = n/2 (a+un) s211 = 211/2 (108+1998) = 222.183
You can fly from Seattle to Boise for $137.50, from Boise to Witchita for $92.50 and from Witchita to Austin for $162.50. Use mental math to find the total cost of the flight from Seattle to Austin.

We should know the slope formula:

Now plug in the points accordingly: = =
It can be simplified further: = -1
Slope of the line that passes through (-4,4) and (1,-1) is -1
