Sand on a beach is covered by other layers of sand over time. The extra layers compress the first layer, packing it tighter and tighter. Over time, the bottom layers of sand have formed into sandstone, with colored bands showing the different layers. What kind of rock can sandstone be classified as?

A. igneous rock
B. volcanic rock
C. sedimentary rock
D. metamorphic rock

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Sedimentary rock is formed because it absorbs deposits from the Earth surface and  they eventually form a hard clay-like structure.
Answer 2
Answer:

Answer:

C

Explanation:

  • Sedimentary rock is produced when sediments are compressed and bound together by cement.
  • Sedimentary rock is described as sand on a beach that slowly changes into sandstone over time.

(d) You observe someone pulling a block of mass 41 kg across a low-friction surface. While they pull a distance of 4 m in the direction of motion, the speed of the block changes from 5 m/s to 7 m/s. Calculate the magnitude of the force exerted by the person on the block.
An object of unknown mass is initially at rest and dropped from a height h. It reaches the ground with a velocity v sin θ / g 1. The same object is then raised again to the same height h but this time is thrown downward with velocity υ1 It now reaches the ground with a new velocity υ2. How is v2 related to v1?

positive deceleration

B.
zero acceleration

C.
positive acceleration

D.
negative acceleration

Answers

What do you mean when you say "this" graph ?  I don't see any graph.

First of all, I'm sure you don't have a "velocity versus time" graph.
You may have a "speed versus time" graph, that doesn't show any
information about the direction of the motion.

As you look at your graph ... a feat that's impossible for me ...

-- If the line is horizontal, then speed is not changing.  If the direction
of motion is also not changing, then there is zero acceleration.  Sadly,
the graph most likely doesn't carry any information about the direction.
It's possible that the speed is constant but the direction is changing.
Then acceleration isn't zero, but you can't tell that from the graph.

-- If the line is proceeding upward from left to right, whether it's straight
or curving, then there is positive acceleration.

-- If the line is proceeding downward from left to right, whether it's straight
or curving, then there is negative acceleration, or what some people might
call "positive deceleration".

Choose the best answer for each situation. a scientist with the epa examining water for contamination writes down that there was an iridescent sheen on the surface of the water. what type of data did the scientist record? a scientist needs to know the temperature of the water every 5 m along 3 km of the river. what tool would the scientist use?

Answers

  • qualitative data
  • electronic temp probe

-type of data did the scientist record was qualitative data.

-tool the scientist would use is electronic temp probe

  • The scientist recorded an illustration of qualitative data.
  • He is recording the water's quality as perceived by him since he noted explicitly that the water's surface had an iridescent sheen.
  • This makes the kind or condition qualitative data because it cannot be expressed numerically.

What is an electronic temperature probe ?

  • Electronic thermometers use thermoresistive devices, in which the electrical resistance alters in response to changes in temperature, to detect temperature changes.
  • The tip of a probe contains this device, which could be a thermocouple or a thermistor.

Animation skills include all of the following, except which?a. layering
c. drawing
b. sketching
d. acting

Answers

Animation skills include all of the following except D. acting. Acting has nothing to do with your skills as an animator, whereas you do have to know how to do layering, drawing, and sketching, because those skills are important when it comes to animation. Acting, and whether you can do it or not, doesn't really influence your skills as an animator.
