What does bias have to do with comparison and contrast

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Bias means when someone uses favoritism. When you are being unfair by making your opinion make you chose a certain options. For example, someone was asked to chose a contestant on a dance competition by their turns and facial expression. You saw the one of the two contestants earlier before the competition and they said said "THAT is the judge?" woah there are old. That made you upset so you chose the other contestant because you were mad. If you make your own opinions about something you are comparing then you are not being fair about one subject you talk about in Comparison and Contrast.

According to this excerpt from "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" by William Wordsworth, what does the speaker do when he is in a reflective mood? The waves beside them danced, but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed—and gazed—but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils. He gets melancholy about his life situation. He thinks of the scene described in the poem. He reads to escape from the din of city life. He writes as a release from his worries and fears.

what does this quote mean ? " fear is such a powerful emotion for husband that when we allow it to take us over , it drives compassion right out of our hearts "

Answers

Answer:

I believe this quote means that fear is such a primal instinct, that even at the best of times, it can take over any good that we were feeling in a second. Fear often makes people react in ways that they normally wouldn't react, it makes people a shell of who they once were, ether it be for a brief moment, or for years of emotional turmoil. We never know how fear will affect a person, this is where the phrase "fight or flight" comes in.

“An Introduction to the Odyssey”: The Odyssey is a story marked by cheerfulness and a feeling of post-war optimism and certainty.True
False

Answers

This is definitely false, given that the Odyssey is a story about conflict following the Trojan War, and there is little optimism involved in the book past the first section.  I, personally, really enjoyed reading the Odyssey and hope you will as well.  You certainly will if you are interested in the fine details regarding the Greek mythological stories and pantheon.  I hope this helps, have a nice day! :)
