Most arson fires are produced through what? Accelerants Dynamite Chemical residues Steroids

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the first option. Most arson fires are produced through accelerants. In fire protection, an accelerant is any substance or mixture that "accelerates"  the development of fire. Hope this answers the question.

A shear force of 400 N is applied to one face of an aluminum cube with sides of 30 cm. What is the resulting relative displacement? (the shear modulus for aluminum is 2.5 X 1010N/m2).a) 4.4 X 10-8 m
b) 8.2 X 10-8 m
c) 1.9 X 10-8 m
d) 5.3 X 10-8 m

Answers

Answer:

\Delta x=5.33* 10^(-8)m

So option (d) will be correct option

Explanation:

We have given shear force F = 400 N

Size of the cube L_0=30cm=0.3m

Shear modulus of aluminium S=2.5* 10^(10)N/m^2

We have to find the resulting relative displacement

Area of the cube A=L_0^2=0.3^2=0.09m^2

We know that shear force is given by

F=S* (\Delta x)/(L_0)* A

So 400=2.5* 10^(10)* (\Delta x)/(0.3)* 0.09

\Delta x=5.33* 10^(-8)m

So option (d) will be correct option

As more lamps are put into a series circuit, the overall current in the circuit a. Increasesb. Decreasesc. Remains the same

Answers

Answer:

b. Decreases

Explanation:

The total resistance of a series circuit is equal to the sum of the individual resistances:

R_T=R_1+R_2+...+R_n (1)

Therefore, as we add more lamps, the total resistance increases (because we add more positive tems in the sum in eq.(1).

The current in a circuit is given by Ohm's law:

I=(V)/(R_T)

where V is the voltage provided by the power source and R_T is the total resistance. We notice that the current, I, is inversely proportional to the total resistance: therefore, when more lamps are added to the series circuit, the total resistance increases, and therefore the current in the circuit decreases.

Determine the change in velocity of a car that starts at rest and has a final velocity of 20m/s north

Answers

The change in velocity of a car that starts at rest and has a final velocity of 20 meters/second north would be 20 meters/second.

What is acceleration?

The rate of change of the velocity with respect to time is known as the acceleration of the object. Generally, the unit of acceleration is considered as meter/secondsĀ².

As given in the problem we have to find the  change in velocity of a car that starts at rest and has a final velocity of 20m/s north,

the final velocity of the car = 20 meters/second north

Change in the velocity = final velocity - initial velocity

                                      =20 - 0

                                      = 20 meter/second

Thus, the change in the velocity would be 20 meters/second

Im not too sure if I just dont understand but if something starts at rest, its not moving so Vi would be 0m/s and if the final velocity would be 20m/s North. Than the change would be 20m/s, its not asking for displacment so you don't need direction. I got my answer from doing Change in Velocity = Final velocity - Initial velocity

Our Sun is all of the following EXCEPT ____.a. part of a binary system
c. a yellow star
b. a main sequence star
d. of average absolute magnitude

Answers

Answer:

part of a binary system

Explanation:

Sun is a yellow star, it is a G-type main sequence star. It is yellow dwarf star. It is white but from our earth, it appears yellow. So it is a yellow star.

As mentioned, yes it is a main sequence star.

It is our main part of solar system so it appears to be huge for our earth, however it stands medium in the size among all other billions of stars in the universe.

Sun is solo star, It has no companion star associated with it (as with other stars which have one or more companion star with them making binary or tertiary etc system).

A) Part of a binary system. There is no evidence to suggest that the Sun has a companion star.
