In the sentence "The children on the farm did many chores before school every day," the highlighted word "many chores" corresponds to a direct object.
It corresponds to a grammatical term that is used to refer to the element that is receiving the verbal action directly. Not all sentences will have a direct object, this will depend on the transitivity of the verb, which can be discovered through some questions such as:
Therefore, to find the direct object of a sentence, you must first identify the verb by asking the questions "What?" or "Who?" and if there is an answer to such questions, then such a complement will be the direct object of the sentence.

I don't know how you're learning the way to say hours ....
for example = 7:30 = sept heures et demie OR sept heures trente...
I wrote the hours p.m. the way we usually do in French... from "treize" till "eleven", and then midnight... but I'm not sure this is the way you're learning it ...........
So if you have any question, please ask me...

hope this helps☺☺☺
