Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

D. No solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Instead of solving everything I just plugged the numbers on equations and saw that for some of them the numbers satisfied one or two equation but not all.  Also for some I saw that a number set makes the equation have no solution. For eg, I plugged option B into equation 3 and got 1305=756 which is never true so it is no solution.

A trainee examined a set of experimental data to find comparisons that "look promising" and calculated a family of Bonferroni confidence intervals for these comparisons with a 90 percent family confidence coefficient. Upon being informed that the Bonferroni procedure is not applicable in this case because the comparisons had been suggested by the data, the trainee stated:"This makes no difference. I would use the same formulas for the point estimates and the estimated standard errors even if the comparisons were not suggested by the data." Please disscuss.

Step-by-step explanation:

An automobile engineer is redesigning a conical chamber that was originally specified to be 12 inches long with a circular base of diameter5.7 inches. In the new design, the chamber is scaled by a factor of 1.5.
The volume of the original chamber is
V cubic inches. This i
v cubic inches less than the volume of the new
chamber.

Answers

Answer:

the original volume is lesser than the new volume by 242.47 in³

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a cone is;

V = ⅓πr²h

Where;

r is radius

h is height

For the original chamber;

r = 5.7/2 = 2.85 inches

h = 12 inches

Volume of this original chamber is;

V_orig = ⅓ × π × 2.85² × 12

V_orig = 102.02 in³

In the new design, the chamber is scaled by a factor of 1.5.

Thus;

r_new = 2.85 × 1.5 = 4.275 inches

h_new = 12 × 1.5 = 18 inches

V_new = ⅓ × π × 4.275² × 18

V_new = 344.49 inch³

V_new - V_orig = 344.49 - 102.02 =

Thus, the original volume is lesser than the new volume by 242.47 in³

Which Number Is Rational?

Answers

Answer:

A. 0.333...

Step-by-step explanation:

Any repeating decimal can be written as a ratio of two integers, hence is rational. 0.333... = 1/3

The last offering appears to be a non-repeating infinite-length decimal, hence is irrational.

Of course π is irrational, as is the square root of any integer that is not the square of an integer.

Answers

Answer:

X + 1/2X + 1/5(1/2X) = 1,600,000

Step-by-step explanation:

X + 1/2X + 1/5(1/2X) = 1,600,000

X + 1/2X + 1/10X = 1,600,000

10X + 5X + X = 16,000,000

16X = 16,000,000

X = 16,000,000 / 16

X = 1,000,000

Así, la primer hermana recibirá $1,000,000, la segunda $500,000, y la tercera $100,000.

Tom is the deli manager at a grocery store.He needs to schedule employees to staff the deli department at least 260 person-hours per week.Tom has one part-time employee who works 20 hours per week.Each full-time employee works 40 hours per week.Write an inequality to determine f, the number of full time employees Tom must schedule, so that his employees will work at least 260 person-hours per week. Solve and graph. !PLEASE HELP!

Answers

I hope this is right but:
Let n=number of full time employees

260<=20+n*40
260-20<=N*40
240<=n*40
n>=240/40
n>=6 full time employees

which means he would have to hire at least 6 or more fully time employees
