Explanation:

Lewis Carroll's children’s fantasy story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland tells the story of a young girl named Alice and her adventures through the fairy-land of Wonderland. This book remains one of the most famous and read books of children fiction.

The given events are from the first chapter of the novel. While Alice and her sister were sitting on the riverbank when she saw a White Rabbit hopping along, checking its watch and hurrying along as if it was late for something. Alice follows the rabbit and fell through the rabbit hole into a huge passageway with huge halls with numerous doors. She couldn't open anyone of them and was curious to know what lies beyond those doors. Then she saw a golden key on a three-legged table made of solid glass and tried to open the doors with it. But the key wouldn't fit in the locks for they were too big for the tiny golden key.

Desperate for another way out, she discovered a small door behind a curtain. When she tried the tiny key, it fitted and opened the door but she couldn't get through because she was too big for the tiny door. Then she saw a bottle that says "Drink me" which she did, but not before carefully checking it for poison or something else.

What is summer vacation?

Vacation is either a leave of absence from a regular job or an instance of leisure travel away from home. People often take a vacation during specific holiday observances or for specific festivals or celebrations. Vacations are often spent with friends or family. Vacations may include a specific trip or journey, usually for the purpose of recreation or tourism.

A person may take a longer break from work, such as a sabbatical, gap year, or career break. The concept of taking a vacation is a recent invention, and has developed through the last two centuries. Historically, the idea of travel for recreation was a luxury that only wealthy people could afford. In the Puritan culture of early America, taking a break from work for reasons other than weekly observance of the Sabbath was frowned upon.

However, the modern concept of vacation was led by a later religious movement encouraging spiritual retreat and recreation.

Answer:

In Nelson Mandela's inaugural speech he presents to his people, one of the most significant central ideas that is portrayed through his words include how he believes in the renewal of the country through unity in the people. During his speech, he mentions that, "Out of the experience of an extraordinary human disaster that lasted too long, must be born a society of which all humanity will be proud." When Mandela says this, he causes the audience to look back on the tragedies that the country has faced. Mandela then expresses that after such a tragedy, the people must come together to create a society in which there is no division.   He also mentions that, "The moment to bridge the chasms that divide us has come." Mandela wants the country to come together to fill the gaps that divide the country. He calls out to the people to put aside their differences to rebuild the country so that everyone may live in peace and tranquility in one unified country.   Throughout his entire speech, he inspires the people of South Africa to unite together so that one country may consist of a society that works to benefit others.

Answer:

A central idea in Mandela’s inaugural speech is his hope for South Africans to unite and create a new and just society. He develops this central idea in the first few paragraphs by repeating words and ideas about humanity and rebirth. For example, he asks his audience to “consider humanity’s belief in justice,” and says that a society must be “born of which all humanity will be proud.”

Question
Governor Pataki implied that Lenny Bruce should not have
O used profane language
been found guilty
O appealed his conviction
o violated the First Amendment

Answers

Answer:

Governor Pataki implied that Lenny Bruce should not have been found guilty.

Explanation:

By pardoning Lenny Bruce, Governor George Pataki implied that Bruce should not have been found guilty. All Bruce did was use profane language during a stand-up comedy routine. That wasn't something he should've been sentenced for, and Pataki realizes that. The First Amendment guarantees the freedom of speech, and by sentencing Bruce to imprisonment for obscene language, the judge violated that right.
