Why did the Mexican army set out for Texas

Answers

The Mexican army set out for Texas because they wanted to have control over Texas when the Texans declared to be independent from Mexico. Originally, Mexico wanted settlers to colonize Texas so they will have more land and become prosperous, growing country. Then the Mexican government became bad and Texans decided to become its own country; this made Mexico mad and they sent out armies to gain some control over Texas.
