Correct answer: The Third Estate
The First Estate was the clergy. The Second Estate was the nobility. The Third Estate was everyone else.
In the days leading up to the French Revolution, Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyes published a pamphlet that had a huge impact in France. The pamphlet was titled, "What is the Third Estate?" Here's how Sieyes started that pamphlet:
The plan of this book is fairly simple. We must ask ourselves three questions.
The clergy (1st Estate) and nobility (2nd Estate) amounted to about 2% of the population of France in the days before the French Revolution -- but all political power was in their hands in everything. The rest of the nation -- from lawyers and merchants down to peasants and street sweepers -- all counted as the 3rd Estate. That body of the people made up 98% of the population. The time had come for them to take hold of their power in deciding how their country was going to operate.
The McCarthy Era was one of the darkest periods in U.S.history. The government was so intent onflushing out communism that they disregarded the rights of its citizens. It was a terrible time to be different orspeak against the government. Those whodid were already put under suspicion. Many who were put on the blacklist during that time suffered a lot. Some lost their careers while others wereimprisoned over hyped-up charges. Ifthere was anything we need to learn is that we need to protect our freedoms ofspeech, the right to fair trial and the right not to be subjected to unlawfularrest.
Following World War 2, as the Cold War developed and the Soviet Union was gathering allies, there was much fear -- and fear-mongering -- in the United States about the threat of communism. This time period, from the late 1940s to late 1950s, is known as the Second Red Scare. This was when the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) was created and when Senator Joseph McCarthy began a campaign of accusations against suspected communists in various sectors of American life. During the Second Red Scare, many people were targeted -- including especially those in the entertainment industry, journalism, and in government and the military. The lessons learned from the McCarthy era showed that the freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights must be vigorously defended. If individual's rights to freedom of speech and freedom of association are called into question, and due process of law is not followed, everything America stands for can come under attack.
A good film you might look for on the subject of McCarthy's fear campaign and how it was overcome is the 2005 movie, "Good Night and Good Luck." The film shows the efforts of journalist Edward R. Murrow to battle against McCarthy's excesses and unfounded accusations. It was especially through the efforts of Murrow that McCarthy's excessive actions were stopped.
Vikings conducted raids and trading expeditions from the Irish coast to the Caspian Sea this statement accurately describes the Vikings. Hence option D is correct.
A is incorrect in the statement. The Vikings were a group of autonomous villages rather than one cohesive people. The Vikings were not all controlled by a single monarch.
B is incorrect in the statement. Norse monks weren't known for becoming berserkers. Viking warriors of the berserker kind were renowned for their fury in combat. They claimed to be able to get into a trance-like condition where they possessed superhuman power and stamina.
C is incorrect in the statement. Not Greenland or Iceland, but Scandinavia was the birthplace of the Viking culture. Although Greenland and Iceland eventually became home to the Vikings, these countries were not the Vikings' original habitats.
Hence, The Vikings are only adequately described by the following statement: Vikings conducted raids and trading expeditions from the Irish coast to the Caspian Sea.

Answer:
B. It caused a political divide. Democratic Republicans supported the Revolution while Federalists opposed it.
Explanation:
At first, the Americans thought that the French revolution would make France an ally against Britain, but it didn't turn out as expected.
The "French Revolution" made the political division worse. The Democratic Republican party was headed by Thomas Jefferson while the Federalist party was headed by Alexander Hamilton. The two parties were opposed to each other. The Democratic Republican party was pro-French Revolution while the Federalist party didn't want to ruin the ties with Britain, especially when it comes to business reasons.
