can someone please help me asap you know i help you when needed anyways i need to be able to plot the x and y coordinates so how do i do that? when y=5 times 2^x x is the value i need to plug in to plot it on the graph the graph goes up until 20 so i just need some x values please

Answers

First question do u have a graphing calculator?? If so, go to the y= menu and type in 5times 2^x then hit 2nd and then graph find any coordinate pair you want Keep in mind I am explaining the steps to take on a Texas Instruments TI84 plus calculator Good luck!!
The equation y=5(2^x) gives you everything you need to plot any number of points.  You can give x any value and then just solve for y.  So what you are doing is giving the x coordinate and solving the equation for the y coordinate.  I like to keep it simple.  Try using 0, 1, -1, 2, and -2 for the x coordinates.

y = 5(2^x)
y = 5(2^0)
y = 5(1)
y = 5

So when x is 0, y is 5  (0, 5)

y = 5(2^1)
y = 5(2)
y = 10

So when x is 1, y is 10  (1, 10)

y = 5(2^-1)
y = 5(1/2)
y = 5/2

So when x is -1, y is -10   (-1, 5/2)

y = 5(2^2)
y = 5(4)
y = 20

So when x is 2, y is 20    (2, 20)

y = 5(2^-2)
y = 5(1/4)
y = 5/4

So when x is -2, y is 5/4    (-2, 5/4)

Now plot the points and it should look something like this... (see the pic)

there are 56 students going to the game. the coach puts 7 students in each van. which number sentence can be used to find out how many vans are needed to take the students to the game?

Answers

Given:
students going to the game = 56
students in each van = 7
number of vans used = unknown; x

The number sentence that can be used to find out how many vans are needed to take the students to the game is:

7 * x = 56

x = 56/7
x = 8 vans needed.
I had this problem before, 8 vans are needed because 56 students ÷ 7 students / van = 8 vans needed.

Determine whether the polynomial is a difference of squares and if it is, factor it. y^2 – 225

is a difference of squares: (y + 15)^2

is a difference of squares: (y – 15)(y + 15)

is not a difference of squares

is a difference of squares: (y – 15)^2

Answers

(y-15)(y+15) if you do (y+15)^2, then that'll be y^2 + 225

Which term can be used in the blank of 36x^3−22x^2−__ so the greatest common factor of the resulting polynomial is 2x? Select two options. 1) 2
2) 4xy
3) 12x
4) 24
5) 44y

Answers

Answer:

Option 2 and 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Expression  36x^3-22x^2-\_

To find : Which term can be used in the blank of expression so the greatest common factor of the resulting polynomial is 2x ?

Solution :

From the following options first we have to determine that it contain 2x.

1) 2-  x is missing

2) 4xy - 2x is present

So, 36x^3-22x^2-4xy=2x(18x^2-11x-2y)

3) 12x - 2x is present

So, 36x^3-22x^2-12x=2x(18x^2-11x-6)

4) 24 - x is missing

5) 44y - x is missing

Therefore, The required terms are 4xy and 12x.

So option 2 and 3 is correct.

Answer:

2) 4xy

3) 12x

Step-by-step explanation:

You can figure this out by seeing which answer can have a 2x factored out of it.

4xy = 2x(2y)

12x = 2x(6)

The other answers dont have an x in it so you cant factor out a 2x from them.
