Help with problem 14?!

The parking lot for a hotel should have 114 parking spaces. If ech row can have 13 parking spaces, then the minimum nukber of rows should be?

Answers

So @mathmate deleted my comment because "I wasn't explaining my answer" well I did

I clearly stated that you have to make educated guess and I showed how I GOT my answer

so i guess here is my "proper" answer

There is no specific formula for this, so you can make an educated guess

for example:

13*5 = 65 (this isn't right because we need a minimum of 114)

so we continue the guessing

I then next tried

13*9

I got 117,

117 is more than 113

making 9 the minimum amount of rows for the hotel parking lot

there ya go @mathmate is that clear enough?

For this case we have that, by definition, the sum of the internal angles of a quadrilateral is 360 degrees. So:

108 + 108 + 2x + 2x = 360\n216 + 4x = 360

We subtract 216 on both sides of the equation:

216-216 + 4x = 360-216\n4x = 144

We divide between 4 on both sides of the equation:

\frac {4x} {4} = \frac {144} {4}\nx = 36

Thus, the value of x is 36 degrees.

Answer:

36 degrees

Answer: X = 36.

Step-by-step explanation: There are 360 degrees in a trapezoid. Two angles are 108 degrees. 108 + 108 =216. 360 minus 216 is 144. 2x + 2x = 4x. 144 divided by 4 is 36. Therefore, x =36.

You have a large beach ball that has a radius of 15 inches. What is the volume of the ball? Use 3.14 for pi.

Answers

Answer:

Therefore,

\textrm{Volume of Ball}=14130\ inches^(3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Spherical Shape Ball

Radius =15\ inches

pi = 3.14

To Find:

Volume of Ball= ?

Solution:

Formula for Volume of Sphere is given by

\textrm{Volume of Sphere}=(4)/(3)\pi (Radius)^(3)

Substituting the given values we get

\textrm{Volume of Ball}=(4)/(3)* 3.14* 15^(3)=14130\ inches^(3)

Therefore,

\textrm{Volume of Ball}=14130\ inches^(3)
