38% convert into fraction

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: To convert a percentage into a fraction, we must first convert the percentage into a decimal. We can do that by either dividing the percentage by 100, or (my personal shortcut) just shifting the decimal point over two places to the left.

38% = 0.38

Now, all we need to do to convert it into a fraction is put the numbers to the right of the decimal point above a multiple of ten with as many zeros as there are numbers to the right of the decimal point. In this case:

0.38 = (38)/(100)

Now, all we need to do is reduce to find our fraction.

38 and 100 are both divisible by 2, so we will start off by doing that.

(38 / 2)/(100 / 2) = (19)/(50)

And that is our answer.
38% in fraction form is (19)/(50).
Hope that helped! =)

I really need your help ! Thanks

Answers

A negative exponent (-n) just means that your base (a) is on the wrong side of the fraction bar meaning you would need to flip it to the other side. For example; if you have to write 2x^-3 using only positive exponents. you have 2x^-3/1 so you would have to move the negative exponent to the bottom which gives you 2/1x^3.

At an icecream parlor, ice cream cones cost $1.10 and sundaes cost $2.35. One day, the receipts for a total of 172 cones and sundaes were $294.20. How many cones and sundaes were sold?

Answers

2.35 + 1.10 = 3.45
2.35 / 3.45
1.10 / 3.45

294.20 / 3.45 x 1.10 = 93.80 to 4sf
294.20 / 3.45 x 2.35 = 200.40 to 4sf

93.80 + 200.40 = 294.20

93.80 / 1.10 = 85.2727272727
200.40 / 2.35 = 85.2765957447

85 + 85 = 170      need two more

84 x 1.10 = 92.40    84 x 2.35 = 197.4
88 x 2.35 = 206.8    88 x 1.10 = 96.8
                = 299.2                    = 294.20

Answer: 84 sundaes and 88 ice cream cones were sold.

what is the decimal sign-and-magnitude value of the 8-bit number represented in 2's complement by 11010011?

Answers

Answer:

-45.

Step-by-step explanation:

The decimal value is negative because the first digit is a '1'.

11010011

 First we subtract 1 :

11010011

           -1

11010010

Now we replace each 1 by 0 and 0 by 1:

= 00101101

In decimal this is - (1 + 2^2 + 2*3 + 2^5)

= -45.

A pork roast was taken out of a hardwood smoker when its internal temperature had reached 180°F and it was allowed to rest in a 75°F house for 20 minutes after which its internal temperature had dropped to 170°F. Assuming that the temperature of the roast follows Newton’s Law of Cooling, a) Express the temperature of the roast, T as a function of time t.b) Find the amount of time that has passed when the roast would have dropped to 140°F had it not been carved and eaten.

Answers

The roast was 82.2degrees Celsius when it was taken out of the hardwood smoker

It would of taken 80 mins for it to cool from 180 to 140
As every 20 mins it would decrease it's temperature by 10degrees C so it would be
80mins for it to reach 140 from 180

By Newton's law of cooling
T-S=Ce^(-kt)
S=75
at t=0
180-75=C=105
at t=20
170-75=105e^(-20k)=95 \n e^(-20k)= (95)/(105)

at T=140
140-75=65=105e^(-kt)
t= -(2.303)/(0.00500507463889254879012536550336)log_(10)( (65)/(105)==
