Simplify -4 + (-3) + 6

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Start off with: -4 + (-3) + 6

First of all, when there is a, + sign and a - sign next to each other, the - side wins.
E.g. 1 +- 3 = 1 - 3

So, apply this to our one:
-4 -3 +6

From there you solve, you can do this using the number line method or whatever you are into:
=-7 + 6
=-1
The answer is -1

Answer 2
Answer:

Answer:. You would add the -3 + -4 together because they are the same type of member. So -4+-3=-7

-7 + 6 =-1

The answer would be-1

For two functions, f(x) and g(x), a statement is made that f(x) = g(x) at x = 5. What is definitely true about x = 5?Both f(x) and g(x) cross the x-axis at 5.
Both f(x) and g(x) cross the y-axis at 5.
Both f(x) and g(x) have a maximum or minimum value at x = 5.
Both f(x) and g(x) have the same output value at x = 5.

Answers

The last statement is the valid one: both f(x) and g(x) have the same output value at x = 5.

f(x) at x = 5 is f(5), this is the output of the function f when x =5
g(x) at x = 5 is g(5), this is the output of the function g when x =5

Then the two output have the same value at x =5.

Answer:

D)  Both f(x) and g(x) have the same output value at x = 5.

What is the main reason that people are hesitant to use nuclear energy a. It produces radioactive waste. b. It uses large amounts of water. c. The ore used for nuclear energy must be mined. d. It is more damaging to natural habitats than the use of coal.

Answers

Nuclear energy is FEARED due to production of radioactive waste. Expose to radioactive waste have already taken place like Fu.kushima nuclear power station (March 2011) and more famously known; Chernobyl (April 1986). Nuclear waste is dangerous for over tens of thousands of years! For humans, radioactive waste breaks up our DNA. Either damaging our cells, or MUTATING them, which eventually lead to cancer and ever death.

The main reason that people are hesitant to use nuclear energy is It is more damaging to natural habitats than the use of coal.

What is nuclear energy?

Nuclear energy refers to the energy that is obtained from the nucleus of an atom. It is the energy that that can be obtained from a fusion or a fission reaction.

However, there are many uncertainties that surround the use of nuclear energy especially the posibility of a nuclear disaster. Hence, the main reason that people are hesitant to use nuclear energy is It is more damaging to natural habitats than the use of coal.

Answer:

ok sorry i could not put this into a formula im have to go but i will show you a really easy way.

Step-by-step explanation:

for number 1 i got (7,-1)

This is because there is a slope of 1/1 between these two points. so i plotted the two points on the graph. The distance between the two points is 4. so i followed the slope 4 times and thats what i got.

The correct way for doing number 1 is using the distance formula i believe but im running out of time

for the second one i got  (3, -1/2)

we do this by using the midpoint formula.

The first picture is for number one and the second for number 2

How do I solve x over 6 + 4+15 ?

Answers

x/6 + 4 = 15

First, subtract 4 to both sides:

x/6 = 11

Now multiply 6 to both sides:

x = 66
x/6+4=15 \n x/10=15 \n *10\ \ \ *10 \n x=150
