rachel uses grid paper to plan a mural to paint at her school. the design will be made of two connected rectangles. the larger rectangle will have an area between 35 square feet and 45 square feet. the smaller rectanglewill have an area between 10 square feet and 20 square feet. Draw and label a diagram to show what Rachel could plan. Explain how to find the total area.

Answers

The picture attached has two rectangles drawn side by side. The larger one has an area of 40 square feet (8 x 5), and the smaller one has an area of 10 ft.² (2 x 5).

To find the total area, you add these areas together. In math when you put two things together like in the picture, this is showing addition.

The total area represented is 50 ft.².

Find the fifth term of a sequence represented by f(n)=5n-2

Answers

The fifth term of a sequence that is represented by f(n) = 5n - 2 will be 23.

What is a function?

A function is an assertion, concept, or principle that establishes an association between two variables. Functions may be found throughout mathematics and are essential for the development of significant links.

The sequence is formulated in the function f(n) is given as,

f(n) = 5n - 2

The fifth term of a sequence is calculated as,

f(5) = 5 x 5 - 2

f(5) = 25 - 2

f(5) = 23

The fifth term of a sequence that is represented by f(n) = 5n - 2 will be 23.

More about the function link is given below.

Hello there!

My best guess would be to plug in 5 into n.

So:

f (n) = 5n-2

f (5) = 5 (5) -2

f (5) = 25-2

f (5) = 23

This is my GUESS. I'm not sure how to do this problem (it's been a while since I've done this).

So PLEASE get a second opinion or ask a teacher!

Hope this helped!
