After reading both excerpts I can conclude the the tone and mood of both is calm with a mood of sorrow. These elements support the theme of each poem by making the reader empathize with the poem.



I think that Niemoller is trying to express the feeling of the hatred he sees and how he feels like does not belong to this world. I believe that the speaker would agree with Niemoller’s perspective because the way the describes it makes you empathize with his feelings.
