Read the poem below and answer the question that follows.“Happiness Epidemic”
by David Hernandez

Without any warning, the disease
sweeps across the country
like a traveling circus.

People who were once blue,
who slouched from carrying
a bag of misery over one shoulder

are now clinically cheerful.
Symptoms include kind gestures,
a bouncy stride, a smile

bigger than a slice of cantaloupe.
You pray that you will be infected,
hope a happy germ invades your body

and multiplies, spreading merriment
to all your major organs
like door-to-door Christmas carolers

until the virus finally reaches your heart:
that red house at the end of the block
where your deepest wishes reside,

where a dog howls behind a gate
every time that sorrow
pulls his hearse up the driveway.

What is plagiarism?a. using someone else's words or ideas as if they were your own
b. citing sources by putting direct quotes in quotation marks
c. using material from outside sources
d. paraphrasing or summarizing an outside source

Answers

I believe the best answer is A.

Final answer:

Plagiarism is using someone else's words or ideas as if they were your own without giving credit. This includes copying text or summarizing/paraphrasing ideas from another source without citing. Quote citation and using outside material with proper citation are acceptable.

Explanation:

Plagiarism is defined as using someone else's words or ideas as if they were your own without giving proper credit to the source. This can be done by directly copying text from another source or by changing the words but keeping the idea the same. When a writer does not acknowledge the original source of the information, it is considered plagiarism. It is important to understand that even paraphrasing or summarizing an outside source without proper citation can be considered plagiarism.

It is not considered plagiarism to cite sources by putting direct quotes in quotation marks or using material from outside sources as long as credit is given where it is due. Both are acceptable and encouraged practices in writing. However, it is considered academic dishonesty to use these sources without citation.

Answer:

Analogy

Explanation:

The correct answer is "analogy" because it actually compares the CEO'S inability to see the looming issues in his supply chain to the Titanic's captain who didn't see danger coming.

"Analogy" is usually used to compare things when making explanations or clarifications. In analogy, we say something is like another thing thereby trying to buttress the point. In analogy, similes and metaphors can be used - for example, the given statement has simile.

Logx (81)= 4 help please

Answers

The answer to logx (81)= 4 is 3.

What is Logarithm?

This refers to the quantity that a power that has a fixed base must be raised to a certain power.

Hence, given that

Logx(81)=4

We recall that one of the laws of the logarithm is the exponential law.

Therefore, 4 becomes the exponent which would be x^4 and this can be expressed as:

3^4 = 81

In conclusion, the answer to x is 3

Logx(81)=4
x^4=81 (The result of a log expression becomes the exponent. So 4, becomes the exponent of the log's base and we end up having x^4. )

x=3 (because 3^4=81)

Romantic poets oftenA. argue with unromantic poets
B.write about relationships
C.compare real life to nature
D.appreciate city life most

Answers

I will have to say option C "compare real life to nature." because it's not option A romantic poets write about emotion, and feelings not arguing with other poets who write their poems about other things. It's not option B because I did the test myself and this is the incorrect answer because relationships do include emotion but relationships could mean just about anything that includes two things. It's also not option D because emotion can come from anything, and any setting.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

C.compare real life to nature

Explanation:

Romantic poets tend to do this a lot.
