South is the particular story that Shackleton made of his expedition, but it is not a book of trips or adventures, it is a manual of resource management, optimism and peace. Only with that peace can you drift on a plate of ice for months, going hungry, thirsty, cold, not knowing what will be of you and your people and keep optimism at all times. After reading South it is clear that this individual could not learn or study the way he had to manage the morale of desperate people, to appease possible riots and to harmonize an exaggeratedly dantesca situation that closes each page, such as the ice sheet. about The Endurance: that ability carried it inside like blood.

This claim is the strongest because it answers a prompt at the beginning of the claim and also provides a reason for the answer.
A claim needs to answer a prompt and give a reason for the answer. In doing this, the writer provides the argument they are going to present in that paragraph. Evidence is then used to support the claim in an essay. When developing a full argumentative essay, at least two claims would be presented in the thesis statement.
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

B. to convince the American colonists to declare independence from Britain
C. to inform the American people about the views and actions of the British Government
D.to persuade American colonists to seek assistance from members of the British Parliament
I would also have to agree that the answer is B: to convince the American colonists to declare independence from Britain. To persuade the Americans to declare independence from Britain and to not loose hope in the battles they were fighting. Back in Thomas's time many were not educated so in his pamphlets he used simple terms that even the commoners knew and still had the power to inspire them.
The pamphlets became so popular that George Washington had his soldiers read them. They read these pamphlet's to boost the spirits of the soldiers because they has fought and at times it felt like the British had the upper hand and in many ways they did.
They were published from 1776 (I believe) to 1783, which was the time span of the War of Independence/ The American Revolutionary War. Hopefully this helped.
