Sacagawea was a Native American woman of the Shoshoni tribe who accompanied Meriwether Lewis and William Clark during the eponymous expedition to explore North-West America. She traveled thousands of miles from North Dakota to the Pacific coast of Oregon between 1804 and 1806. Sacagawea not only helped as a guide, knowing the geography that surrounded them, but also gave them protection thanks to their knowledge in medicinal and healing plants.
