Write 54+63 as the product of the gcf of 54 and 63 and another sum

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: 1) what is 54+63? it's 117!

2) what is their gcf? well, they''re both divisible by 9:

54=9*6
63=9*7

and 6 and 7 have no divisors in common other than 1, so gcf is actually 9!

so what is 117 as a sum of 9 and something else?

the something else s 117-9=108

so the answer is 9+108

What is the volume of a cylinder with a radius of 7 feet and a height of 12 feet? Use 3.14 for pi. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.A. 1,846.32 cubic feet
B. 1,950.25 cubic feet
C. 1,999.21 cubic feet
D. 2,000.31 cubic feet

Please answer asap

Answers

The volume of the cylinder to the nearest hundredth is  1,846.32 cubic feet.

A cylinder is a three-dimensional shape. It is a prism with circular edges.

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

  • π = pi = 3.14
  • r = radius
  • h = height

3.14 x 7² x 12 = 1,846.32 cubic feet

Please find attached an image of a cylinder. To learn more about to determine the volume of a cylinder, check: brainly.com/question/12763699

Find the area of the base of the cylinder,

A = \pi x 49

Then multiply by the height of the cylinder,

49\pi x 12 = 588\pi

then insert 3.14 for pi

588 x 3.14 = 1,846.32 cubic feet

Minxia counted 40 green cars and 20 silver cars in the parking lot. If the number of green cars stays the same, how many more silver card would need to be added so the ratio of green cars to silver cars is 1 to 3?

Answers

The number of silver cars that need to be added will be 100.

What are ratio and proportion?

A ratio is a group of sequentially ordered numbers a and b expressed as a/b, where b is never equal to zero. When two objects are equal, a statement is said to be proportional.

Minxia counted 40 green vehicles and 20 silver vehicles in the parking garage. On the off chance that the quantity of green vehicles remains something similar.

Let 'x' be the number of silver cars that need to be added.

If the ratio of green cars to silver cars is 1: 3. Then the number of silver cars that need to be added will be given as,

40 / (x + 20) = 1 / 3

Simplify the equation, then we have

40 / (x + 20) = 1 / 3

(x + 20) = 40 x 3

x + 20 = 120

x = 100

The number of silver cars that need to be added will be 100.

What I did is that: I multiply 40 by 3 because 40 is 1/3 and I have to find the answer for 3/3 (Confusing, sorry I don't know how to explain it correctly). I got 120, subtract 20 from 120 beacause ther is 20 silver cards. The answer is 100

You should print out worksheets from online, if you dont have a printer just copy the question onto a piece of paper.
STUDY!
Everyday when you come home from school, review what you have done during math class so if you forgot some of it you refresh your mind. Do the same thing before you go to sleep.

Study by finding online games and printing out worksheets. Ask your parents or guardian to quiz you and MAKE FLASHCARDS! It helps so much. When you have a spare 5 minutes pull them out and study. Take extra notes in class than your teacher wants you to and rewrite them and highlight them. Find workbooks around your house. Ask your parents/guardian to make a math test for you or just print one out. Don't stress yourself with math, take a 10 minute break before doing more every 30 minutes. I used to HATE MATH but now it's ok because I do these things. MATH IS FUN!!!!

Emily cut a triangle with a height of 4 inches and a base of 6 inches out of a square piece of wood measuring 18 inches by 18 inches. He keeps the leftover wood for other projects. What is the area of the wood he will have left over

Answers

This is definitely one of those kinds of problems that's hard to do without visualizing the slab of wood.

     Step one is to find the total area of the slab of wood before any cuts are made. What's the formula to find the area of a rectangle? base*height. The square is 18 long and 18 high, so to find the area you'd need to do 18*18, and you should get 324 inches^2 as the area of the square.
     Step two is to find the area of a triangle. How can you find the area of a triangle? Well, think of it this way... What do you get when you cut a square in half, diagonally? A triangle! So if the formula for the area of a square is A=bh (base*height), then wouldn't the formula of a triangle be 1/2(bh), since a triangle is half of a square? Yep! So what would be the area of this triangle? It would be 1/2(6*4), because the base is 6 and the height is 4. 6*4 is 24, so now you have 1/2*24. One half of 24 is 12, so the area of the triangle he uses is 12.
     Step 3: If he uses that wood, doesn't that mean he's taking it away? What's another word for "take away"? Subtract! That means you subtract the triangle he uses from the square he cut it out from! If the area of the square slab of wood is 324, and you subtract 12, 324 -12 is 312! That means that the area of wood he will have left over is 312 inches ^2! I hope this was helpful!
