Argue your support for the North to include accurate details about causes and effects of the war and your reasons for fighting for the Union. Describe how the outcomes of this war will affect you as a Northerner when you return home.

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Everyone is created equal. At least, that's what I think. You, most people believe that there is significant segregation between races. They believe white people, specifically males, are on the top, and the African Americans are inferior to them. However, I believe that everyone should get a chance. If you can work hard enough, you shouldn't have to live a life of slavery. This is why I'm fighting for the North. I'm fighting for equality among all. The war has turned our country upside down. We are torn in two, rather than united. There is a hatred between fellow citizens that didn't used to be there. When I return home from the war, I hope we have won. If we win, this means that slaves will be freed, segregation laws will be thrown away, and new amendments will be put into place to protect African American rights. However, if we lose, the North will change drastically. There will be no more underground railroad. African Americans will once again serve us all and the white race will dominate America.

I wrote this from the perspective of a guy fighting during the war, rather than a reflection. I couldn't tell exactly the POV you wanted us to write it in so I hope it's okay :)
Answer 2
Answer: I believe that we are all human and that the North side did what was right for the human race. the south shouldn't have kept slavery because like I said we are all human and we deserve to be treated like normal no matter if you are black or white. There were a lot of people killed during the war because of the reasons with the black and whites. Millions of people were killed during the war and with people fleeing to the North because of this.

The answer is that the union is most likly to be better this is how they won the war 1) They would first blockade the confeterancy 2) Next they would keep supplies from reaching the Confederacy and prevent the South from exporting its cotton crop. Second, the North would seek to gain control of the Mississippi River. 3) Finnally they would capture Ritchmond Verginia and make it their capital Although this war last for many years, this was a long prosses to do and with the Confederancy attacking it took even longer for the union to win but in the end they did. What were NOT factors for wartime economic growth?

Answers

Wartime economic growth is often driven by increased production and manufacturing to supply war making efforts. This increased production leads to increased levels of employment and also greater output. There is also the potential for increased employment in employing higher numbers of citizens within the military as well. Therefore, anything not associated with these things could be considered "non-factors."
