Why do people get asma

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The most common way I believe you can get it is from another family member. Not in the sense that it's contagious, but that it's genetic. You can also get it from stuff in the air you might be allergic to such as dust or pollen. Diseases and infections in the chest will further provoke it. If you smoke, you are also more likely to get it. Also, if you are overweight it puts a strain on your lungs so your more likely to have an attack.

What is a reason that these data may be unreliable? It is information that is too old to be considered factual.
It was found on the American Cancer Society website, and websites are unreliable.
It is information that is used for a variety of purposes and not just gathered for research.
It is from a self-reporting survey, and teens may not want to answer the questions honestly.

Answers

It is from a self-reporting survey, and teens may not want to answer the questions honestly.

These statements can be reliable:
1. It is information that is too old to be considered factual.
This credibility and reliability of an information doesn't intend to how old it is. It just needs to be updated and revisited. This source may be outdated but every study has a significant implication to a certain populace however subjected to its own limitations.
2. It was found on the American Cancer Society website, and websites are unreliable.
Regardless of website or article, you should consider  the authors of the website to have a clue if its reliable or not since the authors come from the ACS, this would entail that they have backed up researchers and studies to support their every claim. You can ask them the title and search for them yourself.
3. It is information that is used for a variety of purposes and not just gathered for research.

Yes but every assessment and test used for research should be specifically valid and reliable for the construct aimed to be measured, the content validity and the criterion-related validity, lastly also its reliability. Since the information was specified for the certain study then it is reliable and valid, therefore is reliable yet subject to its limits.

Final answer:

The information may be unreliable due to being outdated, sourced from a potential bias platform, not specifically gathered for research purposes, or collected from potentially unreliable self-report surveys from teens.

Explanation:

There are a few reasons why the data in question may be unreliable. Firstly, if the information is too old it may not accurately reflect current conditions or understandings. This could make it unreliable for contemporary research or decision-making purposes.

Secondly, while websites such as the American Cancer Society can be reliable sources of information, it is important to consider that not all websites are. Some may not be up-to-date, be subject to bias, or lack comprehensive peer review.

Thirdly, if the information is used for a variety of purposes rather than specifically gathered for research, it may lack the specific relevancy, depth, or focus necessary for certain studies which can limit its reliability.

Lastly, relying on self-reported data, especially from a demographic like teens, can introduce bias as participants may not feel comfortable answering honestly or may not recall information accurately.

Which of the following involves convection currents? burning fossil fuels wind patterns solar panels ozone heating blankets

Answers

The term that involves convection current from the question is Wind patterns.

  • The same mechanism are been showed by convection current as well as Wind pattern in the earth just as the case of plate tectonic movement.

     Wind pattern can as well be regarded  as general circulation which is the  surface winds attributed to  each hemisphere, and the hemisphere is  divided into different wind belts which are;

  • Polar Easterlies(60-90 degrees latitude).
  • Prevailing Westerlies( 30-60 degrees latitude)

At the region of equatorial, the air do experience a less denser and warm property, as it rises up to the atmosphere, it then falls  at 30° N S( latitude).

Also at 60° latitude there is a rise of the warm air at the both latitude then the air will  converge at two end pole.

Therefore, there is same mechanism with wind pattern in earth and that   of convection current .

Am I right? A scientist makes a discovery that suggests a hominid species created and used relatively sophisticated tools. The scientist decides to publish his findings. Which of the following sources would be regarded as the most reliable? A scientific magazine article A college or university website A film on anthropology A journal reviewed by peers

Answers

The discovery should be first published in a journal to be reviewed by other scientists to ensure that it is correct/repeatable. After this, the discovery would most probably be reported in scientific magazines and then in newspapers, important discoveries would probably be reported by newspaper quickly though which leaves the potential for a discovery to be untested and incorrect.
ermm i mean a journal reviewed by peers you mean by other professionals working into that field?  Everything else seems to be correct i would do a little more research on that.
