Read this excerpt from The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, and then answer the question that follows. When Dorothy was left alone she began to feel hungry. So she went to the cupboard and cut herself some bread, which she spread with butter. She gave some to Toto, and taking a pail from the shelf she carried it down to the little brook and filled it with clear, sparkling water. Toto ran over to the trees and began to bark at the birds sitting there. Dorothy went to get him, and saw such delicious fruit hanging from the branches that she gathered some of it, finding it just what she wanted to help out her breakfast.

Then she went back to the house, and having helped herself and Toto to a good drink of the cool, clear water, she set about making ready for the journey to the City of Emeralds.

What point of view is used in the excerpt

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The point of view used in the excerpt is the Limited Omniscient. Limited omniscient or the third person point of view happens when a narrator of high knowledge focuses on a single character to discuss rather than the general. The choice of character to be focused is not weighted by importance in the story but what the narrator needs to discuss.
Answer 2
Answer: The point of view that is used in the excerpt is third person point of view. The only thing you should remember to distinguish this form of storytelling is that author uses pronouns like ‘he/she/it’ a lot. So the things are usually described as if they are observed by the author. In this case, it is omniscient third point of view as you can see in this excerpt that author also knows the feelings and inner thoughts of characters.

These types of writers start off with existing plan

Answers

There are several types of writers that start off with existing plan, since you provide no options, those writers are :
 - Business Plan Writers
- Focus Writers
- Research writers . . .These three types of writers usually start of with existing plan,

Consider this example. A celebrity is interested in building an environmentally-friendly school that focuses on science as a key field of study. He or she will be re-purposing a former building and has narrowed down the options to the following abandoned spaces:Option 1: an old shopping mall on a major waterway
Option 2: a former bed and breakfast on top of a remote mountain
Option 3: an ageing grain silo on farmland
Option 4: a run-down steel mill just outside a large city.
In order to make the best decision, the celebrity would need to compare each location against the other to see which one has the best features, amenities and accessibility to meet the needs of the school’s vision and its students.

Think about Options 1–4. Pick two that you think would be most appropriate for an environmentally-friendly school. Now write a response that compares one against the other before making a decision on which of these two is better.
