In the 1960s and 1970s, the most newly independent African nations were experiencing D. violence, civil war, and unrest. This nations experienced years of conflict, war, and poverty. Some years after World War II, 17 African countries were granted independence. Most of these country rulers were very optimistic about their countries' future at independence. They faced problems of national unity and cohesion, poverty and underdevelopment, unemployment, under-employment, and civil wars.
The 1989 Revolutions, also known as The Fall of Nations, was a revolutionary wave that swept Central and Eastern Europe in the fall of 1989.
