Which of the following statements is true? (1 point)During active transport, a material may be moved from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration.
During passive transport, energy is used to move material against a concentration gradient.
During active transport, water is pumped across a membrane to equalize the concentration of salts on both sides.
During passive transport, osmosis allows salts to move from one side of the membrane to the other to equalize concentrations on both sides.

Answers

Answer;

A. During active transport, a material may be moved from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration.

Explanation;

-Active transport involves movement of molecules or particles against a concentration gradient (from a region of low concentration to a region of high concentration). This movement of particles against the concentration gradient requires an input of energy from the cell in the form of ATP.

- Passive transport on the other hand involves movement of materials from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration and does not utilize energy. Passive process are processes such as osmosis and diffusion.

I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is option A.The statement that is true is that during active transport, a material may be moved from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration due to the presence of energy.

What are the four states of matter and how might we see them in a crime scene

Answers

Hi! I'm assuming you know the four states of matter- solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.

Putting them into a crime scene, however, is tricky.

Depending on which type of crime scene it is, there will be different types of states of matter in each, or possibly multiple.

Liquid can be seen as blood if it was a murder. Solid can be seen in that same crime scene if the murderer by chance left his knife, gun, or solid device they used to commit the murder. In other cases, gas can be seen used to kill someone because of it's toxicity. Plasma is a hard one, though, but can be seen in blood as well, because our blood is made up of plasma and other materials.

b. Holocene,
c. Pliocene,
d. Cretaceous

Answers

The answer is a. Pleistocene.

A group of large animals that lived during the Pleistocene is called Pleistocene megafauna. This group included mammoths, giant sloths, mastodons, cave bears, saber-toothed cats, etc. The extinction of these animals happened also in Pleistocene. The reasons for their extinction could be hunting by the humans, climate changes, or impact of asteroides.
