What is a summarize ?????

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: When you summarize, you take the main points of a story and write in in a few sentences. You want to make sure you hit all the key parts of the story and don't focus on the small details. If you were telling a friend about a movie you saw, you would by describe the major events, but not the little moments. That would be summarizing. You can do this with any book, movie, story etc. :)
Answer 2
Answer: Summarize means to conclude something or to recapitulate by giving little / few words or sentence.

What is a metaphor in English terms

Answers

a metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word'phrase is applied to an object/ action to which it is not literally suited.

examples:

the cats fur was a blanket of warmth.
'her eyes were fireflies.'

and a common metaphor:
brokenhearted.

the cat's fur isn't /actually/ a blanket, but it's body heat makes the cats fur warm and snuggly.

her eye's aren't /really/ fireflies, but they're very bright and shining (indicating happiness, perhaps?)

heat's don't /actually/ break into pieces, its just hurt and sadness (and a common metaphor.)
