The main setting of the book is where the characters of the book are usually at. If they are at the park more than they are at home, then the main setting would be the park.
THe three minor characters are the characters that add the most to the story. If the book is in first person, then one of the main characters is the person talking. But the three people that are in the story most and talked about most are the three main characters.
Hope this helps :)

Malcolm Gladwell, is the author of a book titled "Outliers; The Story of Success".
The book focuses on succes, and the reason why some people achieve it while others don't. In this section of his book, Gladwell anlyzes the case of the KIPP Academy, a school in South Bronx, that struggles the adversities related to their location, as well as the socioeconomic factors typical of this neighborhood.
When doing this, Gladwell utilizes expert quotes, graphs and a scientific focus, in order to try to dissuade the reader from stereotyping a certain type of school and students as it they were incapable of success.
