They believed that instead of the federal government state legislature will protect their freedom. Some of the Anti-Federalist is Patrick Henry, Smith. They distrusted the elite and believed that the federal government will only favour the rich. They believe that the centralisation of power will lead to the political aristocracy. They thought that agriculture would suffer a lot. They wanted that people should govern themselves.
