How does Macbeth persuade the murderers to help him? He tells the murderers that it was really Banquo who did some things they thought Macbeth had done to harm him. Is this convincing?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: It was my impression that Macbeth paid the men to commit the murders. We know money speaks to many people regardless of the good or bad involved. When I went back it seems that Macbeth did indeed hire the men but he also made sure they were men that were poor. He convinced them that their lot in life was the fault of Banquo's and that Banquo would do the same to their descendants if he should continue living. This would have hardened their hearts and turned them against Banquo quickly. Of course, Macbeth was pretending to be aghast that they would accuse him being innocent.
Answer 2
Answer:

Final answer:

Macbeth persuades the murderers to kill Banquo by blaming him as a common enemy and hinting that their poor state is due to Banquo's actions. This persuasive technique and manipulation illustrate Macbeth's deteriorating morals and quest for power.

Explanation:

In the play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, Macbeth persuades the murderers to help him by convincing them that Banquo is their enemy and is the cause of all their miseries. This tactic of blaming Banquo as a common enemy is a powerful persuasive technique which is often proven effective. Macbeth also indirectly threatens the murderers by implying their current lowly status is a result of Banquo's actions. While it does seem quite manipulative, it proves to be effective and convinces the murderers to kill Banquo. Thus, the skillful use of persuasion and manipulation by Macbeth demonstrates his deteriorating morals and ambition for power.

A volunteer has 12 pounds of birdseed to put in bird feeders in all of thr city parks. there are 3 1/4 cups of bird seed in a pound and each bird feeder holds about 3/4 cup of bird seed. how many bird feeders can the volunteer fill completely?

Answers

If each pound contains 3 and 1/4 cups of seed, this means that in 12 pounds it has a total of 13 / 4x12 = 156/4 or a total of 39 cups of seed. If each bird feeder contains 3/4 cups of seed, and as mentioned in 39 cups has 156/4, then the number of bird feeders that can be filled completely with this amount of seed, gets (156/4) / (39/4) or only 156/39, which means 52 bird feeders.

Number of bird feeders that can be filled completely is 52.

3 1/4 = 13/4
12 pounds × 13/4 cups per pound = 39 cups

Each bird seeder holds 3/4 cup. So, how many times does 3/4 go into 39?

39 ÷ 3/4 is the same as 39 × 4/3.   39 × 4/3 = 52.

Therefore, the volunteer can fill 52 bird feeders.
