Which of the following is the BEST example of an appropriately-narrowed topic for an informational research paper?Abraham Lincoln

the Gettysburg Address

how the Gettysburg Address inspired a nation to take action

why Abraham Lincoln and Mary Scott Todd got married

Answers

I would have to say the Gettysburg Address. If you want to focus on a appropriately-narrowed topic for an informational research paper, writing about this historical document I think would be the best route to go because you can find a lot of facts and write about the back ground history to why it was written, without going to deep into other events happening at the time.

If you talk about Abraham Lincoln, your going to get into so many different topics. You've got the Civil War, Gettysburg Address, the Emancipation Proclamation, other events, and finally his assassination.

How the Gettysburg Address inspired a nation to take action, I think would be more of a challenge to talk about because one will get into opinions and in a research paper, the teacher is going to want hard facts.

Why Abraham Lincoln and Marry Scott Todd got married, I think would again be challenging to talk about. I think it would be hard to find good hard core facts or evidence as to why this event occurred.

Hopefully, this helps.

Answers

The best answer is option C, the previous stanzas give a neutral description of the snake, while the final stanza expresses the speaker’s fear.

What is a stanza?

A stanza is a group of lines in a poem, which would be similar to a paragraph in a regular text. For this question, we must analyze the stanzas of the poem "A Narrow Fellow in the Grass.” The last stanza contributes to the structure of the poem by shifting the emotional tone from neutrality to fear. In the preceding stanzas, the speaker presents a factual and somewhat detached depiction of the snake's presence and behavior.

However, the final stanza abruptly changes the emotional atmosphere. The phrase "And Zero at the Bone" conveys an intense and chilling fear that contrasts with the previous neutral tone. This shift in tone in the last stanza serves to underscore the unsettling impact the snake's presence has on the speaker. It adds a layer of complexity and emotional depth to the poem's portrayal of nature and the speaker's response to it.
