What is the earth?

Only one astronomical object—Earth, which is third from the Sun—is known to support life. Although the Solar System contains enormous amounts of water, only Earth is home to liquid surface water. The oceans cover around 71% of Earth's surface, dwarfing its lakes, rivers, and polar ice.

The moon's gravitational field is only about one-sixth that of the earth's. The weight of the bowling ball on the moon would be 1/6 of its weight on

Earth even though it has the same mass on Earth and the moon (and thus, its velocity would be just as difficult to change in both places).

In "Thank You, M'am," what does a clean face represent? A. wealth B. fear C. good humor D. self-respect

Answers

The correct answer is "D".

In the story, Roger is a young boy who attempts to steal from a woman named Luella Bates. However, he accidentally trips during his stealing attempt. Mrs. Bates subsequently kicks him.

After this incident, Mrs. Bates surprisingly takes Roger to her house and orders him to wash his face. She then asks him why he tried to steal from her. Roger tells her he wanted to buy a pair of blue suede shoes.

After giving him the money, Roger struggles to thank her. Mrs. Bates proceeds to close the door in his face.

Mrs. Bates actions were all a lesson of self-respect she wanted to teach Roger. As he was looking was terrible and he was engaged in wrongdoings. There is no better way of teaching than with actions.

In "Thank You Ma'm" a clean face represents self-respect.

What are some good english PRO/CON topics? for example, abortion (good/bad), cats or dogs.
please make them interesting and not very common, like ANIMAL TESTING/ABORTION/GAY RIGHTS

something interesting like: DOGS ARE BETTER THAN CATS/VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN?

thanks!!

Answers

Alright. So, pro's and cons are very interesting topics. They can include many facts and points that prove whether side you can take. Usually, those kind of essays do not need a side to take/a claim to choose. All you need is some imagination, and a bit of star dust that can light you mind. :)

Ideas:-

- Taxes
- Interest
- Monarchies
- Foreclosure
- School Breaks
- Homosexual rights (this recently happened and many right about it)
- Donald Trump as president.

Whether or not to be a vegetarian is a good pro/con topic, but pretty common. Here are other ideas I've brainstormed:
The use of nuclear weapons in wars (especially WWII.)
Android versus Apple.
LED versus other lightbulbs.
The use of food additives, colorings, and preservatives.
Gluten as a whole.
GMOs.
