Each person, regardless of age or backgrounds, have the right to krump. How should the sentence above be rewritten to correct the subject-verb agreement error? The sentence is correct as written Each person, regardless of age or background, do have the right to krump. Each person, regardless of age or backgrounds, have the right to krump. Each person, regardless of age or background, has the right to krump.

Answer 1
Answer: The correct answer is "Each person, regardless of age or backgrounds, has the right to krump." 'Has' is a third person singular form of the verb 'have.' This means that it will be used in a sentence where the subject is another person (not yourself.) In this case, the subject is "person," which is singular and not yourself. What if the subject of this sentence was "people" instead of person? We would use "have" because the subject is now plural!

Uncomfortable was the beauty queen’s ride atop the float. What is the subject?

Answers

The simple subject is"ride".

The complete subject is the beautyqueen’s ride atop the float. Just because the word "uncomfortable"begins the sentences, it doesn't readily make it the subject.

This iscalled inversion. It simply means putting a verb before its subject. However, it doesn’t affect the innate function of each word. There are around18 types of subject-verb inversion. The sentence above is an example of introadjective inversion since the beginning word is an adjective that describes thesubject.

In the Most Dangerous Game, explain how Sanger Rains ford's epiphany is caused by the external conflict.

Answers

The external conflict is between Rainsford and General Zaroff.  This conflict is most clear when Zaroff is hunting Rainsford.  Rainsford, in order to live, must outwit Zaroff.  This is obviously a conflict.  There was also a lesser conflict as Rainsford resisted Zaroff's efforts to get him to be a hunter.

The internal conflict is within Rainsford as he is being hunted.  He is having to fight with himself to keep himself from despairing and giving up.  His situation seems hopeless and so it is hard for him to keep fighting for his life.

The internal conflict in “The Colomber” by Dino Buzzati happens __________.between Stefano and the colomber
between Stefano and his father
within Stefano
within Stefano’s mother

Answers

C. within Stefano

Within literature, there are many times of conflict. Some of the types of conflict are Man vs. Man, Man vs. Nature, Man vs. Society, and Man vs. Himself. Man vs. Himself is a conflict that will happen inside the mind of a character and frequently manifests itself in indecision, uncertainty, or guilt. This is also known as internal conflict. As such, it is safe to say that internal conflict will take place “within” a character. Thus, the internal conflict in “The Colomber” occurs within Stefano.

THE ANSWER IS (C) within Stefano
