Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The correct answer is state government.

The Articles of Confederation was the first government made by the US as an independent nation. After a terrible experience with an extremely strong central government (aka Great Britain) the founding fathers wanted to put an emphasis on state governments having control. The last thing American citizens wanted was another out of touch central government that would tax them without their consent.
Answer 2
Answer:

Answer:

"state government"

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation and the Perpetual Union, known as the Articles of the Confederation, constituted the first government document of the United States of America. They were approved by the Second Continental Congress on November 15, 1777, after several months of debate. It was a non-binding guideline until its ratification four years later, on March 1, 1781. The Articles of Confederation are considered one of the four founding documents of the North American nation.

The Articles formed a weak confederation that united the Thirteen British North American Colonies, with the capacity to govern themselves almost only in times of war and emergencies. After the end of the War of Independence and the beginning of new priorities, its limitations became evident. This document was replaced by the Constitution of the United States after its ratification on June 21, 1788.

Write a two-paragraph essay on whether church leaders should be political rulers.

Answers

Church leaders have been political rulers throughout history all over the world. However, I think that they shouldn't be political rulers because they would let their religion get in the way of politics.

A great example of this was during the Tudor Dynasty in England during the 1500's. King Henry VIII decided that because he didn't get a divorce from Katherine of Aragon, he would break away from Rome and become the head of the Church of England, which sparked many rebellions and lots of deaths. Another example is Queen Mary I, she was a Catholic and she decided to burn Protestants for herisy and again, let religion get in the way of politics.
