Read this quote, then answer the question below: "Palestine is the cement that holds the Arab world together, or it is the explosive that blows it apart." —Yasser Arafat, 1974 Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat made the above statement during an interview with Time Magazine (November 11, 1974). Based on this quote, which of the following statements would Arafat also agree with? If Palestinian peace does not happen, all Middle East nations will turn to chaos and violence. All the nations of the Middle East look to Palestine for guidance in how to cooperate peacefully. It is the Palestinians themselves, not the Israelis, who must find the path to peace in the Middle East. Most Middle Eastern nations have too many problems to concern themselves with the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Answers

Answer: If Palestinian peace is not achieved, all Middle East nations will descend into chaos and violence.

Explanation:

In 1974 Arafat became the first delegate of a nongovernmental group to speak in a plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly, as the  Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), opening a political dialogue about the fundamental role of the Palestinian peace in avoiding violence in the Middle East.

In this quote, we must understand that it means:-

Palestine is where all the peace takes place, if Palestine is destroyed, the rest of the Arab states will we be.

Thats pretty much what is happening in the world today. Gaza, Palestine is getting destroyed by the Israelis, and now ever since that has been happening, look at the rest of the Arab countries. They are in ruins, most are getting bombed because they are un-uniting. The only reason that Palestine holds all of the Arab countries is because of its holy mosque, Jerusalem. Also because they were united with one religion, now, the religion is breaking apart, and many lives are being lost because of a very simple argument, Sunni and Shi'a.

Final answer:  If Palestinian peace does not happen, all Middle East nations will turn to chaos and violence.

When did the international economy collapse and why- durning the great depression

Answers

Many people during the roaring 20s had lots of money and decided to start buying stocks. More and more people bought the stocks until they were valued more than their actual worth. Americans poured their money, sometimes their life savings, into stocks. In October of 1929, the booming American economy came to an abrupt end as the US stock market crashed. Panicky investors tried to sell their stocks. Banks had made loans that people could not repay. Depositors grew nervous about their money and tried to withdraw it all from the banks, leading to bank failures. Businesses went broke, once-busy factories closed, and millions of workers lost their jobs.

This affected other nations because once America lost it's prosperity and money, they no longer traded. Due to bank failures and factories closures, America did less business overseas, spreading the Great Depression all over.

Hope this helped ^.^

Which idea did David Hume contribute to both the philosophy and the science of the Enlightenment? (5 points)The nature of God will forever be a mystery to human beings.
Given the choice between two theories, the simpler one is usually correct.
All we know is what we experience ourselves.
Humans are governed by reason rather than desire.

Answers

Taskmasters is wrong, Hume believed that Humans governed by desire NOT reason... The answer is "Alle we know is what we experience ourselves." or just C

Answer:

C) All we know is what we experience ourselves.

Explanation:

David Hume believed in an empirical knowledge approach. He considers that all knowledge comes from experience, with sensitive data or impressions as its basic units. All our ideas come from a sensitive impression. Any idea must match an impression because the ideas are images/copies of the impressions. In this sense, the truth criterion of ideas is their correspondence to an impression.

The fact that there was no national military was a weakness in which area of government? legislative judicial administrative economic.

Answers

The correct answer is legislative.

The military falls under the jurisdiction of the legislative portion of the government because Congress (which is the legislative branch) has the ability to declare war. Since Congress has the ability to declare war, not having a military would greatly affect their ability to protect the US. This was one of several problems within the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation was America's first constitution and was eventually replaced after less than a decade by the US Constitution (still in use today).

Final answer:

The lack of a national military was a significant weakness in the administrative division of the government under the Articles of Confederation. In situations of war or rebellion, the national government, unable to raise an army, had to depend on state units for defense, resulting in a potentially dangerous situation.

Explanation:

The absence of a national military was a substantial weakness in the administrative division of the government. Under the Articles of Confederation, the national government did not have the power to raise an army or navy. Defense was primarily left to the states. Although the national government could declare war, it had to rely on the states to provide soldiers, creating a dangerous situation, particularly when major foreign powers still retained control over large parts of North America. In case of a rebellion, such as Shays' Rebellion in Massachusetts, the national government, lacking the power to raise an army, was unable to offer assistance. If state governors chose not to honor the national government's request for soldiers, the country would be left defenseless. Therefore, it is apparent that the national government was weak and depended heavily on state cooperation for its defense.
