is the passage of dialogue written correctly or incorrectly? "Which movies are opening this weekend?" Peter asked his sister. She replied, "Well, I've been waiting for the new listings to appear on the theater's website." A- incorrectly B- correctly

Answers

I would personally say incorrectly, to answer a question like Peter's correctly, you would need to answer it formally. Peter's sister didn't give him an answer, to make it correct it would need something along the lines of, "I'm not sure, I was waiting for the listings to appear on the theater's website." Using "Well" is incorrect.
yes it is incorrect I'm sure don't dote me

Sixty percent of Company A’s employees are considered top performers. Fifty five percent of Company A’s employees are in a rigorous training program. Assuming these two statements are true are most of Company A’s employees in the rigorous training program considered top performers?

Answers

So, what we know is that 60% of the employers are top performance - this means that 40% are not.

Also, half of the employers (50%) are in the rigorous training program.

Consider this situation: all of the employers in the in the rigorous training program are top performers ( and some top performers are not) - this is a possible situation (then the statement would be correct)

On the other hand, another possible situation is that all of the non-top performers are in the rigorous training program - and some of the top performers are too. (then the statement would be incorrect)

What is your reaction to the description of life on a slave ship?

Answers

Answer:

My reaction to the description of life on a slave ship is that we are very lucky to live in times in which slavery is prohibited because the description let us know how crude, rude, unjust, and horrible it was.

Explanation:

Two reasons back my perspective. The first one is that after many people understood the effects of slavery on people. They decided that slavery should be stopped because it was unfair, we are all equals and we have the same rights. Second, slaves used to go under so many horrible things, like work to death being punished if they didn't work even if they were tired. Punish other slaves, eat bad food, and never being able to do something they wanted.

Very unfair. The people on the ships didn't even have a choice on whether on going or staying. And the conditions were horrible. Not being able to even stand up or go to the bathroom in a acceptable way.Not being able to eat or sleep normally. Very unfair

To paraphrase a poem means to rewrite it in one's own words. It doesn't have to be a poem though, paraphrasing anything means rewriting it.

To paraphrase a poem means to A. rewrite it in one's own words.

What does a paraphrase mean?

To paraphrase a poem or any other work of literature means that the work should be summarized in the words of the person who writes the paraphrase.

This is not a blind repetition of what has already been said, rather it requires an understanding of the main point and rephrasing this to fit a person's understanding.

In "On His Blindness," John Milton regrets _____.a. that he cannot see
b. that his blindness restricts his work
c. that he is in prison

Answers

He regrets that his blindness restricts his work.

He has so much to say and to write and to do, yet he cannot because of his blindness. This is a specific sonnet because unlike many of that age, this one didn't deal with a love interest.

Question: In "On His Blindness," John Milton regrets _____.

Options:

A. that he cannot see

B. that his blindness restricts his work

C. that he is in prison

Answer: The correct answer is option B) He regrets that his blindness restricts his work.

Explanation: "On His Blindness" is an autobiographical poem that John Milton wrote about losing his sight at a young age. Much of his poetry is about religion and Christian theology. Milton became totally blind by 1654. There is a bit of debate on the subject, but most agree that the cause was most likely glaucoma. John Milton regrets that his blindness restricts his work because he has so much that he would like to say, write and do, but he is limited due to his blindness. He also explains that he is particularly frustrated because he lost his sight while working in the service of God.
