C. More parasites
D. A period of drought

The medulla, part of the brain stem, reacts quickly to increased levels of CO2 in the blood and stimulates a response from the ---
A. Excretory system
B. Immune system
C. Respiratory system

Answers

  1. Reduction in competition is most likely to cause increases in a predator population.
  2. The medulla, part of the brain stem, reacts quickly to increased levels of CO2 in the blood and stimulates a response from the respiratorysystem.

What is predation?

Predation is the process whereby one animal called the predator kills and feed on another animal called the prey.

An increase in the population of a predator will most likely occur because there is a reduced competition for the same prey.

Question 2:

The medulla is a significant part of the brain that controls the rate at which respiration occurs.

According to this question, the medulla (part of the brain stem) reacts quickly to increased levels of CO2 in the blood and stimulates a response from the respiratory system.

In an informative essay, describe the effects of globalization on air pollution in China's largest cities.

Answers

The addition of unwanted substances that alters the physical and chemical attributes of the atmospheric air and environment is called air pollution.

Globalization is the growing independence of the population, economics and cultural characters by the trade of commodities and people.

It is increasing due to the technologies and transportation advancements. Various countries and communities have numerous cultural, resources and skilled assets.

The increase in globalization in China's largest cities have affected the environmental conditions and factors causing pollution.

China has the largest manufacturing industries located in cities like Shanghai, Shenzen and many others.

The establishments of factories and industries in these cities caused a large clearing of lands and trees. Deforestation in these areas caused a decrease in the oxygen levels of the region.

The smoke and wastes from the industries and factories have caused the air of the area to be polluted. This has increased the temperature of the surroundings.

In China use of the coals and heating techniques have raised and contributed to global warming.

Therefore, air pollution in China will be increasing as many factories and establishments are contributing to pollution and deforestation.

Answer:

Globalization is a term that relates to businesses operating on a worldwide scale as opposed to just locally. This is possible due to modern transportation and technological advancements. Each country has different  resources and skill sets to produce goods and services. The goods and services chosen are typically based on comparative and absolute advantages which determine what countries can produce what goods and services with the least effort. However, the increase in production has negative effects on  the environment as a result of the process causing pollution.

In the last 30 years, China has risen to the top as the world's largest nation. In fact, China has resulted in over 400 million people rising above the poverty line which can never be repeated. In all this China has effectively become the "factory of the world". Large economies were developed in cities like Shenzhen, Tianjan, Shanghai, etc. There were hundreds of factories clustered together. These factories made lots of mass produced items to be exported all over the world. Within the country itself, this has led to increasing problems of pollution because millions of trees had to be cut down to make space for  business buildings and factories. This led to decreasing oxygen in the air. After this, the increasing cars, fumes in factories, ac units, ect contributed to the rising temperatures and pollution in the air. Increased consumption leads to an increase in the production of goods, in this case it puts stress on the environment. Globalization causes rise in the amount of fuel that is consumed in transporting these products has led to an increase in the pollution levels in the environment. Seventy percent of chinese households burn coal or biomass for cooking and heating, which contaminates  indoor air.

In conclusion, Air pollution will remain a serious problem in China as long as factories are being used, businesses keep being built and trees cut down, and coal continues to be the country's major energy source.  In the last 30 years, China has risen to the top as the world's largest nation. The cities are becoming extremely hot due to the added pollution as their population grows. There were a lot of factories clustered and these factories made lots of mass produced items to be exported all over the world. Within the country itself, this has led to increasing problems of pollution because millions of trees had to be cut down to make space for  business buildings and factories.

Answer:

1- Option A

2- Option D

3- Option D

4- Option D

5- Option B

6- Option C

7- Option B

Explanation:

Constructive forces are the forces that add new landmass on earth. They are typically formed by events such as volcanic eruptions, sediment deposition, and distortion in the crust.

The Hawaiian volcanic islands were formed due to the subduction of the Pacific plate under the NorthAmerican plate.

A dome generally forms when the magma rises up towards the surface. This hot magma lifts the land area, and subsequently with time, the magma cools and solidifies before eruption, giving rise to the formation of domes.

Beaches are formed due to the continuous erosion of the coastal rocks by the sea waves. Waves also carry sediments from the oceans to the coastal beach but it mainly erodes the rocks and sediment particles that are present on the beach area.

When sediment particles are carried by the rivers and streams and are deposited at the mouth of the river, then a delta is formed.

When an oceanic plate collides with a continental plate, then the denser oceanic plate gets subducted beneath the continental plate and forms a region of subduction where at great depth partial melting of the subducting plate takes place.

Along the mid-oceanic ridge, new crusts are added because the hot magma comes out to the surface and solidifies. This are rocks that are basaltic in nature.

Radial symmetry
Bilateral symmetry
Asymmetry

Answers

The correct option is, B, that is, RADIAL SYMMETRY.
Symmetry refers to the balanced distribution of the duplicated body parts or shapes within the body of a living organism. There are different types of symmetry, we have bilateral, radial and asymmetrical symmetry.
Radial symmetry refers to the type of body plan in which the body parts are arranged around a central axis, that is, the body parts are arranged in a circle around an axis.

Answer:B

The Answer is radial symmetry

If birth rates fall below the replacement level, than a country is in which stage of demographic transition?

Answers

Answer:

Fourth Stage

Explanation:

During the fourth stage of demographic transition, the birth rates with in a population fall below the level of replacement and thus the population of such countries starts shrinking. This was once a common scenario in countries like Japan, Italy and Germany. The economy sees a down fall as the ageing population increases with no replacement of it in near by future.

Mostly the developed nations after the post industrial age are  facing this situation.

Post-transition stage
(Technically the 4th stage)
