Write one of the following compositions, using 120-180 wors.1. A cookery magazine is running a competition to find the best recipe. Write your recipe, explaining how to make your favorite dish.
Help me, guys. Im not American..

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: To write this, first think of a recipe you love to make. If you don't like to cook anything, think of something you like to eat. Make sure the recipe is fairly simple, so your composition will be short and easier to write.
Next, write out the recipe. Describe what ingredients you need to buy, as well as the process of how to make it. For example, if you were making chocolate chip cookies, you can say something like "you will need 1 cup of flour," and "bake in the oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit."
Make sure to use proper grammar and simpler language. A magazine wouldn't have complicated words and sentence structure. You want to make it as easy to read and follow as possible.

Five dead leaves falling
upward onto the branches
of a bare oak tree

THE END OF WINTER
As I approached, I startled a group of sparrows that had
been feeding in the grass, and they who floew up to the safety of
an old oak tree. It was still early enough in the year that the
branches of the tree were bare. But the bird songs and the
warm sun made me feel certain that winter was ending. As I
watched, the sparrows dropped from their high perches and
settled again in the grass to hunt food. Like winter,I was
just an interruption.

The author could add additional details to the story about how the sparrows look flying up into a tree and the correct option is option C.

To make the connection between the sparrows and spring more similar in the poem and the story, the author could add additional details to the story about how the sparrows look flying up into a tree.

By vividly describing their graceful flight, the excitement in their movements, and perhaps their interaction with other signs of spring, such as budding flowers or warmer temperatures, the story would mirror the poetic imagery of the sparrows gracefully rising towards the oak tree.

This would create a more cohesive and unified theme of the end of winter and the arrival of spring, enhancing the reader's emotional connection to the scene and the season's changing beauty.

Thus, the ideal selection is option C.

Which words in the sentence are the adverb clause? Run from your house to the train station because the train will arrive any minute.

Answers

Answer: because the train will arrive any minute.

Explanation: An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective or another adverb in a sentence. An adverb clause is a group of words that function as an adverb in a sentence, it should contain a subject an a verb in order to be complete, and it starts with a subordinating conjunction (if, after, because, etc). In the given sentence, the adverb clause is "because the train will arrive any minute" because it has a subject (the train), a verb (will arrive), and it starts with the subordinating conjunction "because".

Adverb phrase modifies the verb (here: run) with the information of how, or why some action was performed.

Here the adverb phrase is the following one:

because the train will arrive any minute.

A. Disconnected from. A participial phrase, as I like to think of it myself, is the phrase that has a word that looks like a verb but is an adjective or adverb. In this case, the participial phrase is an adjective and describes "we".
