Which way do people look when they lie?

Answers

There is no definitive way to determine if someone is lying based solely on their eyemovements.

The idea that specific eye movements indicate deception, commonly known as "eye accessing cues," has been widely debunked. It is a myth that certain directions of eye movement correspond to lying or truth-telling.

While eye movements can provide some insights into a person's thought processes, they vary greatly among individuals and are influenced by various factors such as culture, personality, and context. Some people may naturally shift their gaze in a particular direction when thinking or recalling information, but this cannot be used as a reliable indicator of deception.

It is essential to consider a wide range of verbal and nonverbalcues, including body language, facial expressions, voice tone, and inconsistencies in their story, to assess potential deception. However, relyingsolely on eye movements to determine if someone is lying is not supported by scientific evidence and can lead to inaccurate judgments.

What three parts of the scientific name of a plant do you need to know and understand as an agriscientist? Why?

Answers

Answer:

Scientific name of a plant is represented by the : Name of the Genus, Name of the Species and Name of the sub-species.

Explanation:

  • Classification of living organisms is done in order to distinguish and separate the contrasting organisms and to club the related organisms near each other. This is done to ease out the study of the diverse living organisms.
  • Genus - It is the hierarchical taxonomic classification of living organisms which is positioned below the Family but above the Species.
  • Species - It is the hierarchical taxonomic classification of living organisms which is positioned below the Genus and above the Sub-species. The individuals belonging to a particular species can interbreed among themselves.
  • Sub-species - It can be defined as the different populations of the same species which may occupy isolated and unrelated habitats and may vary in different characters.
  • Taking the example of pea plant,
  • Name of the Genus - Pisum.
  • Name of the species - sativum.
  • Name of sub-species -sativum(garden pea),elatius(wild pea).

Which of these are negative effects of global warming? Check all that apply

Answers

A. Low-lying coastal areas may flood.

C. Fertile land may become dust bowls.

D. Air quality decreases, posing threats to human health.

Answer:

When carbon dioxide is released into the environment, typically due to human activities and respiration in animals, it gets trapped in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is just one greenhouse gas, but as all of the gases accumulate in the Earth, the temperature begins to rise globally. There are many implications to this, including the melting of glaciers, bleaching of corals, and increasing necessity for air conditioning systems and ventilation. When glaciers melt, they become a part of the ocean, meaning that as more glaciers begin to thaw out, the ocean will being to grow up and out. As sea levels rise, humans and animals are left with no choice but to being moving to higher points of elevation to avoid sinking. Another consequence of glacial melting is the loss of habitat for animales in many environments. Those living in glacial areas will begin to lose the snow and ice they are built to withstand. Those living near the sea or at low points of elevation will lose their habitats as it sinks deeper into the ocean. Another problem with global warming is coral bleaching. As the ocean warms up from the rising temperature, corals will being to overheat until they become ”blaeched’ whihc essentially means that they die. Lastly, global warming will create an increasing necessity for air conditioning systems and ventilators. People who do not have access to these things or cannot afford them can risk health complications. Global  warming is a problem that cannot be ignore and the world needs to take more steps to plant trees and grasses that can photosynthesize the carbon dioxide into oxygen.

A food chain is shown between the phytoplankton, sea-nettle jellyfish, and copepods. Identify the producer, primary consumer, and secondary consumer in this food chain.

Answers

Answer:

The producers can be described as organisms which are able to make their own food through the process of photosynthesis. Phytoplankton is hence the producers in this food chain.

Primary consumers can be described as organisms which feed on the producers. Copepods are the primary consumers in this food chain.

Secondary consumers can be described as organisms which feed on the primary consumers in a food chain or food web. Sea-nettle jellyfish is the secondary consumer in the above food chain.
