Need help with all And have to show work - 1

Answer: Altho' I can easily guess what you're supposed to do here, I must point out that you haven't included the instructions for this problem.

I'll help you by example.  Let's look at the first problem:

"Evaluate  6(z-1) at z-4."

Due to "order of operations" rules, we must do the work inside the parentheses FIRST.  Replace the z inside (z-1) with "-4".  We obtain

6(-4-1) = 6(-5) = -30 (answer.)

Your turn.  Try the next one.  If it's unclear, as questions.

SA = 6a^2

Where 'a' is the side length.

Plug in what we know:

SA = 6(14)^2

Simplify the exponent:

SA = 6(196)

Multiply:

SA = 1176

A pan of lasagna cut into 100 servings is equally shared among a group of people. For Exercises53 – 55, determine the portion of the pan that each person receives given the number of people in
each group. Write your answer as both a fractional and a decimal part of a pan.
53. 20 people 54. 40 people 55. 30 people

53).  100 servings / 20 people  =  (100/20) (svngs/ppl)

                                                 = 5 servings per person.

         Each person gets 1/20 = 5% = 0.05 of the pan.

54).  100 servings / 40 people  =  (100/40) (svngs/ppl)

                                                 = 2.5 servings per person.

         Each person gets  1/40 = 2.5% = 0.025 of the pan.

55).  100 servings / 30 people  =  (100/30) (svngs/ppl)

                                                  = (3 and 1/3) servings per person.

         Each person gets  1/30 = (3 and 1/3) % = 0.0333... of the pan.

Alexandra has 127 flowers. She putsthe same number of flowers in each
of her vases. How many flowers will
be left over?

Answers

The number of flowers in each vase is 31 and the number of flowers left over is 3.

Given that, Alexandra has 127 flowers and 4 vases.

What is the division?

The division is one of the basic arithmetic operations in math in which a largernumber is broken down into smaller groups having the same number of items.

Here,

The same number of flowers in each of her vases =Total number of flower/Number of vases

= 127/4

Now, 4|127|31

            124
         _______
               3

Number of flowers left over =3

Therefore, the number of flowers in each vase is 31 and the number of flowers left over is 3.
