A metaphor is a creative way to describe something by specifically comparing it to another thing that is like it yet different from it. A metaphor is a linguistic construct that, in order to further an agenda, addresses one subject while also addressing another. It could provide clarification or point up links between two seemingly unrelated ideas.
When the person is reading he is assuming that the biggest battle is happening involving the men as well as the krait upon Harry's tummy the entire night you're watching it. However, it isn't until the last words do you discover Dahl's true meaning, which is racial discrimination.
