Constitution is the supreme law of the land. The US Constitution came into effect in 1789. It was ratified by series of conventions occurred in 1787 to 1788. Articles of Confederation had several flaws as it provided loose alliance of the states. So the main objective of the Constitution is to reform the articles. Federalist wanted proportional representation it and anti-Federalist wanted equal representation. The other controversies were related to slavery and the bill of rights. So it was very difficult to evolve at the consensus.

Article VII of the US Constitution states that before the Constitution is formed or it becomes the law the document needs to be ratified by 9 of the 13 states. The question of ratification divided the citizens into two groups Federalist and Anti-Federalist. The Federalist is in support of the ratification of the constitution. They were elite members are Industrialists, Well-Educated Landowners. They believed that a strong government is required for national defence and economic growth. The government could regulate trade, impose tariffs and have powers to collect taxes, building of roads. The opponents to ratification are called an Anti -Federalist. They believed that instead of the federal government state legislature will protect their freedom. Some of the Anti-Federalist is Patrick Henry, Smith. They distrusted the elite and believed that the federal government will only favour the rich. They believe that the centralisation of power will lead to the political aristocracy. They thought that agriculture would suffer a lot. They wanted that people should govern themselves.

In order to better understand the world we live in, historians study all of the following except: a. societies b. governments c. current events d. fictional stories about World War II

Answers

Except fictional stories about Wolrd War II.

Historians will base themselves on either secondary or primary sources but never a fictional one.

If you were to write a history book (a nonfiction) about how Hitler massacred the Jews, you wouldn't take a fiction from an author that wrote it in 2001, because it isn't real sources, but inspired from and the goal is a story, not teaching or transmitting informations.

Historians base themselves on facts, and what really happened, not on fictional stories.

Is global warming an imminent threat? why or why not?????

Answers

Global warming, which scientists prefer to call "climate change," is definitely an imminent threat (meaning that it is a threat right now). It's also a very serious long-term threat.

The most imminent threats of climate change include flooding and severe weather patterns. As more and more pollutants fill the atmosphere, they create a greenhouse effect, meaning that they trap heat in the atmosphere. This is causing the ice caps in the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as glaciers around the world, to melt much more rapidly than usual, causing serious flooding in coastal areas around the world.

Some scientists even ague that entire countries (like the Maldives, a country made entirely of islands), could be entirely underwater within the next 50 to 100 years.

Other imminent threats include severe weather patterns. An sharp increase in blizzards, droughts, and tornadoes have all been attributed to climate change.
