Answers

The correct answer is false.

It is false that the Virginia colony was founded on the principle that all people should be able to practice their religion freely.

The main purpose of the establishment of the Virginia colony in the Americas was economic. The firsts Europeans in Virginia considered wealth as the basic motivator. They were there for economic reasons They want to be wealthy. They were not driven by the wish to be free regarding religion, they were there to make a profit. That is why British King James I ordered the creation of the Virginia Company of London in 1606.

True! They did!!! (Need filler for 20 characters)!

WHAT ARE FACTS ABOUT MEDUSA

Answers

When you look into her eyes she turns you into stone, she once was a pretty woman and her hair is made of snakes.
She was originally known as the fairest woman in Greece, but then when Zeus came down and cheated on Hera, his wife, with Medusa in Hera's temple, Hera became outraged. Since she was unable to touch Zeus, since he was king, she instead turned Medusa and her two other sisters, known as the Gorgons, into the most foul looking creatures in the world. While Medusa was mortal, her sisters were not, but Medusa had it worse off. Whenever she would meet somebody's gaze, she would turn them to stone from her ugliness. From this, she was put into hiding in a cave with her sisters. She was there for many years, when Perseus, out on a quest (another story), went and cut her head off in her and her sisters' sleep. He was not turned to stone because he had a shield granted to him by Athena, goddess of wisdom and warfare, which would reflect the image of Medusa so that he would not have to look her in the eyes. When he cut off her head, her blood created Pegasus, the horse with wings. With his flying sandals, also granted by Athena, he was able to escape the Gorgons without being noticed, and could fly over the sea. When he reached land and put the head down, the snakes from her hair detatched themselves, and created the first snakes on land. Perseus put the head into a bag, and returned to the king which had sent him on his quest. When the tyrannical king asked to see the head as proof of his completion of the quest that should not have been able to be completed, the king met the gaze of the glazed eyes of Medusa, and was turned to stone, therefore proving that her magical curse was still in affect. The rest is the story of Perseus. If you want to know more about that, then ask a different question.

Gerald Ford became president without an election. How did he become president? A. He was appointed by the Supreme Court after Nixon's resignation. B. He was the current minority leader of the House of Representatives when Nixon resigned, which automatically makes him the new president. C. He was the current vice president when Nixon resigned, which automatically makes him the new president. D. He was appointed by Congress with a two-thirds approval vote.

Answers

Answer:  C. He was the current Vice-President when Nixon resigned, which automatically made him the new President.

Further detail:

Gerald Ford was appointed to the office of Vice-President after Vice-President Spiro Agnew resigned in the face of a felony charge of tax evasion.

President Richard Nixon appointed Ford as Vice-President to replace Spiro Agnew.  Then Ford became President of the United States when Richard Nixon resigned from the presidency when he was facing impeachment over the Watergate scandal.

C. Nixon's initial vice president was Spiro Agnew. However, the two had differences in policies. Agnew was then found guilty of many crimes. This scandal led to Agnew's resignation in 1973. Later that year, Nixon nominated Gerald Ford in place of Agnew. The Congress agreed and Ford became the vice president. In 1974, Nixon was found guilty of many 'dirty tricks' such as bugging the offices of enemies. This later was known as the Watergate Scandal. Nixon resigned and Ford became the president.

How did the American preacher Jonathan Edwards’s preaching style compare with the British preacher George Whitefield’s?

Answers

I believe the answer is: Whitefield had a powerful, passionate style, while Edwards spoke to his parishioners calmly and quietly.

With his style, Jonathan edwards put more emphasis on the beauty, harmony, and ethical fittingness, that exist in Christian Religion. George whitefield on the other hand, put more emphasis on struggle, battles and sacrifices that christian people should made to survive in the sinful world.

Their styles were similar. Both preacher helped spread the Great Awakening.

They were powerful preachers. George Whitfield had charisma and an extremely loud voice that could be hear for miles. His style of preaching elicited emotional responses.

Jonathan Edward's style of preaching was more conservative and convicting than George Whitfield's.

Can someone put this into dumb people words please. The central theme of the book is the historical necessity of revolution, and the impossibility of preventing it. Even the forces of reaction produce revolution by making the revolution more conscious of itself, as the reactionaries resort to ever more brutal methods to suppress the inevitable.
