Four brothers went to a dance. As they left, each one of the brothers accidentally took a hat belonging to another brother and a coat belonging to another, different brother. Maurice took the coat belonging to the brother whose hat got taken by Phil, while Phil's coat got taken by the brother who took Maurice's hat. Serge took John's hat. Whose coats and hats were taken by Maurice and Phil. Please tell me how you got your answer :)

Answer 1
Answer: It can not be john since his hat is already taken by serge and I dont think Phil and Maurice would share his coat.
It must be the hat and coat of serge because as I already said Johns hat is already taken away by serge and Serge is the only person left that has not anything taken away yet. That is only true if Maurice and Phil do not take their own stuff. But it says they accidently grab the stuff of their brothers so it must be Serge´s.

Simplify the expression 6ab + 3ab - 7ab. What is the coefficient of the simplified expression?A. a
B. ab
C. 2
D. b

Answers

Simplifying 6ab + 3ab - 7ab
so we can write it
6ab + 3ab - 7ab = 0 ( because there is nothing on right side )
9ab - 7ab = 0
2ab = 0
So the coefficient of ab is 2.

Correct option is C.
To simply to expression 6ab+3ab-7ab, we do:
6ab+3ab-7ab+= (Just do regular addition and subtraction if they have the same coefficent)
9ab-7ab=
2ab
So the answer is C.

What is the sum of 3/8 and 1/16

Answers

make the denominators the same before you add so,
(6)/(16)(1)/(16)(7)/(16)
(3)/(8) = (6)/(18) (6)/(16) + (1)/(16) = (7)/(16)

Solve: 16x2 − 81 = 0.x = 4, 9
x = −4, −9
x = 9 over 4, x = −9 over 4
x = 81 over 16, x = −81 over 16

Answers

If you would like to solve 16x^2 - 81 = 0, you can calculate this using the following steps:

16x^2 - 81 = 0
(4x - 9) * (4x + 9) = 0
1. 4x - 9 = 0 ... 4x = 9 ... x = 9/4
2. 4x + 9 = 0 ... 4x = - 9 ... x = - 9/4

The correct result would be: x = 9 over 4, x = −9 over 4.
