Answer 1
Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

i. 3x-1=20

or, 3x= 21

x= 7

ii. 3x+1= 22

3x= 21

x= 7

iii. 2x-5=99

2x= 104

x=52

iv. g(3)= 3+5/2= 11/2

g(0)= 0+ 5/2=5/2

g(-3)= -3+5/2 = -1/2

x+5/2= 0

so, x= -5/2

A spinner with 4 colors is spun for a total of 50 trials. Yellow was selected 10 times. What is the experimental probability of the spinner landing on yellow?

Answers

Answer:

1/5 is  the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

the probability of the outcome of the color/ Divided by the total of how many colors there are.

in this case there is one yellow, but it may very well be smaller than the other colors so it does not have the probability of 1/4, unless they tell you that all the color sizes are equal.

so now, instead,we shall base it off of the Trial Numbers. Which would be 10/50, which can be reduced to 1/5. :)

How to find the volume of a cylinder? Need help, thanks.

Answers

well I personally do not know the volume of a cylinder but for example if you had a cylinder that the radius(had of the diameter) was 5 and say the height was 13 then you could go on google, safari, etc. and search exactly this (also works with triangles, rectangles, squares, circles, parallelograms, trapezoids, etc. and also with the volume and surface area of triangular prisms, rectangular prisms, etc.) but  any way type in this: what is the formula for the volume(area, Surface Area, etc.)  of a cylinder(rectangular prism, triangular prism) you put in the height and the radius of the cylinder and the answer will automatically pop up if this didn't help(which I really hope it did!!) the I am terribly sorry

The line that divides a parabola in half is..?

Answers

The line of symmetry that divides a parabola in half as "The axis of symmetry of a parabola is a vertical line that divides the parabola into two congruent halves. The axis of symmetry always passes through the vertex of the parabola".

What is parabola?

A parabola is an approximately U-shaped, mirror-symmetrical plane curve. It corresponds to a number of seemingly unrelated mathematical descriptions, all of which can be shown to define the same curves. A parabola can be described using a point and a line. Three different parabolas exist. Vertex form, standard form, and intercept form are the three forms. You can access a unique key feature for the graph on each form. A parabola's general equation is written as y = a(x - h)² + k or x = a(y - k)²+ h. Vertex here is indicated by (h, k).

Fifty pounds of a cement-and-sand mixture is 40% sand.How many pounds of sand must be added for the resulting mixture to be 60% sand?

Answers

To get the answer you would have to multiply fifty by .4 to get 20. now you know that 20 is 2/5 of the bad and 1/5 must be 10. So you would multiply 10 by 3 to get to 3/5 so you can have 60%. The final answer is 30

The quotient of a number and it's a reciprocal

Answers

The quotient of a number and it's reciprocal is square of the original number

Given :

The quotient of a number and it's a reciprocal

For example we take a number 3

Let the  number be 3

The reciprocal of 3 is (1)/(3)

The quotient of a number 3 and it's a reciprocal (1)/(3) is (3)/((1)/(3) ) =3 \cdot (3)/(1) =9

we know that 3^2=9

Square of 3 is 9

From this we can say that,

The quotient of a number and it's a reciprocal is the square of the original number.
