Mr. Gehring has 3/4 pound bag of flour to use for 6 cakes. How much flower is used for each cake?

Answers

To solve this problem, we can set up a proportion.

0.75          X
         x
  6            1

To solve this proportion, you can use cross products.

The resulting equation is 0.75*1=6x

When the left side is simplified, you get 0.75 = 6x.

You are trying to get x alone, so you need to divide both sides by 6.

0.75/6 = 1/8.

So, Mr. Gehring uses 1/8 flour for each cake.

Ideas for titles for Witch story                                                                                                          I'm writing a story for my English class where the main character is a teenage witch who is forced to live with her maternal aunt when her dad realizes she's got magic (he always figured she might, since his ex wife did) The town her aunt lives in is sort of like Halloweentown (if anyone has ever seen that Disny Movie) and she lives in a house that in haunted by a teenage boy. The romance doesn't play much into it, but it's there. I have to name it and I'm having trouble coming up with a name. All I have are Son of a Witch (which I think it too silly)
Charming (which sounds too much like the TV show)
So I dunno. Help please?

Hi there, I think I can help with a title, this story seems interesting, you should post it, I would totally read it. :)

Here are some titles I've come up with (sorry if they're lame)

I mean since it has romance I thought this would be a nice title

A heart filled with roses. Sound more like a poem title, i know but it seemed sweet. Personal expreience I think most girls like flowers and roses are popular, this may seem kinda random but he/she could have a heart like roses, strong and powerful. Ik this is cheezy, that's why I made a few. xD

The Magical Affect/Effect, or Magical Affect/Effect this is also a cheezy title I came up with, she does have magic and there is interest in this story two these characters so thats why I put added this lol.

A Strange Place. Magic isn't common to the world of non magical people so I guess a strange place could fit your title.

Hope these help with your story, sorry if these aren't what you're looking for. Have a wonderful day/evening

9. In reflecting on some of the more difficult moral choices made by the characters Laura's decision to sleep with Jamie, Ronsel's decision to abandon Resl and return to America, Jamie's choice during the lynching scene, Florence's and Jamie's separate decisions to murder Pappy—what would you have done in those same situations? Is it even possible to know? Are there some moral positions that are absolute, or should we take into account things like time and place when making judgments?
