Lets say we have an ice cube... An ice cube, is a solid. And if that melts, what happens? Well,  It turns into a liquid...
 How does it melt, you may ask... Well, if you apply heat to the ice, then it turns into water, in which its a liquid.

Answer 2
Answer: The only way a solid can turn into a liquid is by melting. When you get a solid hot, the molecules bump around faster and harder until they start breaking apart and moving around each other; that's when a solid melts and becomes a liquid.

Chemist preformed Reaction of solid magnesium burning and found that the mass of the magnesium oxide what is greater than the mass of the magnesium. What is the reason behind this increase in math reaction of solid magnesium burning and found that the mass of the magnesium oxide what is greater than the mass of the magnesium. What is the reason behind this increase in mass?

Answers

Answer:

The magnesium reacted with the oxygen in the air.

Explanation:

For argument’s sake, let’s say that the mass of magnesium oxide was 3 g and that of the oxide was 5 g.

The reaction was

            magnesium + oxygen ⟶ magnesium oxide

Mass:           3 g                                          5 g

Mass of oxygen = 5 g – 3 g = 2 g

The 3 g of magnesium must have combined with 2 g of oxygen to form 5 g of magnesium oxide.

Which is the properly balanced equation for the process in which iron oxide (Fe2O3) and carbon monoxide (CO) react to produce iron (Fe) and carbon dioxide (CO2) gas?A.
Fe2O3 + CO → Fe + CO2

B.
Fe2O3 + 3CO → 2Fe + 3CO2

C.
2Fe2O3 + 3CO → 2Fe + 3CO2

D.
3Fe2O3 + CO → 3Fe + 2CO2

Answers

B. Fe2O3 +3CO --> 2Fe + 3CO2

Fe has 2, Fe2 ---> 2Fe
O has 6, O3 + 3O (3+3=6) ---> 3(O2)(3x2=6)
C has 3, (3C --> 3C)

none of the other equations make sense:
In A, Fe on the left has 2 while Fe on the right has 1(so you can eliminate that.)
in C, Fe on the left has 4 (2x2) while Fe on the right has 2.(eliminate this too.)
in D, Fe on the left has 6 (3x2) and Fe on the right has 3 (eliminate this)
